Oh, you have a life, eh? But you post on a comic book forum? Cool.
aaaaaand that makes you...what?

I'd prefer they come up with a different opening, to keep things fresh as some have already stated....

However; if they DO use an artist, then i prefer any of the Romitas. Senior OR junior works for me.

Maybe there isnt going to be credits at the begining. It just starts of with Eddie as a kid. Dunno. Just an idea.

That would be sweet to have a 4 year old drawings of spiderman at the begining.

Okay, just clarifying that you didn't compare my drawing skills to a 4 year old.

And I don't understand why that snot Alex Ross had to open his big, fat mouth about Spiderman-2 being no good after he took the gig to draw the opening credits for him. The nerve. He's good, but he's a comic-book artist but he's acting like Mariah Carey over here pretending he's a diva. He could have said something along the lines of "It was fine, I'm looking forward to the sequel to see how they improve the film further" or something PC not show how ungrateful he is after Raimi tapped him to do the opening credits for the biggest film in comic-book history. He didn't have to rip into the entire cast and crew of SP2 just because his own Spider-Man script has been collecting dust since 1980s. Little girl Ross.

BOB ROSS!!!

"Alright, now.....add a happy little goblin"

oh he's dead, nevermind.

Luckily McFarlen has too big of an ego to ever do one and plus his tone is not right for SM2 (I know we're setting up for SM3, but this is still Raimi and not McFarlen and it has to illustrate SM2) and he has too much ego to ever do it.

I myself am rooting for one of the Romitas though.

The opening sequence doesn't have to be Drawings of 2. That Opening thing happened in 2, with drawings from one, but no one said they have to or WILL do the same thing this time. They might do something completely different. I think doing that same thing would be a little stale. Unless they seriously can't come up with any other opening title sequences other than that. I may be wrong about no one saying they would be doing that again, but i know i havent seen or heard they would, as far as i know its speculation.

i think they should use one of john romita sr. or todd macfarlanes drawings for the opening credits.

my suggestions (if they do the art again and can't get alex ross)

john romita sr
john watson
paolo rivera
leinil francis yu
john cassiday
frank cho
alex maleev
adi granov
arthur adams

if they don't do the art, that's fine, too. as long as the movie's good.:spidey:

I like Bagley too. I personally would prefer Bagley draw the opening for 4 if there was one though as I love his 616 Venom the most.

And yes I realize it may not, but it likely is as Sam on commentary and Tobey talk how much better this opening was to the CGI **** in the first one and how most people have stated from critics to moviegoers how cool it was and better.

Look, I know some want "fresh" orginality which is why I say get a new artist for each one and different styles. But truth be told keeping it similar would be nice as they all seem to have the same opening with the web-line and the title so keep up this form of continuity as similar but slightly different openings prove very popular for SUCCESSFUL franchises. Take for example Star Wars or James Bond. Let this be Spidey's because as of right now this is the franchise that feels like a comic book painted on the screen and if it was successful in 2, keep it up as it would be the kind of thing to get fans of a franchise immeadietly into it (again as Star Wars or James Bond would do).

i hope the drawings look more comic-style than panitings(idk if this has been said)

Oh, that would be cool. Resurrect him.

Like on Family Guy,
"If you tell anybody about this tree here, I'll kill you."
