Who should play Ms. Marvel if she gets her own film?

^That's an interesting choice and I'd be fine with it.

What about the chick who played Eowyn in the LOTR films. Granted, she's also 10 years older now.

I still very much like Abbie Cornish for this part.

Katee Sackhoff would totally kick ass as Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel!

Miranda Otto, that was her name from LOTR. Ain't seen her in anything since War of the Worlds.

She's in that awful I, Frankenstein trailer with Strahovski, lol.

Your eyes will thank you to never see that abomination of cinema.

Abbie Cornish would be awesomeness, lol at the Lost chick :p

Whedon had to fight and lobby to get Black Widow in Avengers, man. Movie companies just don't like female heroes, unless a director basically makes them have one, it's crazy.

Dont know if anyone has responded to this but its not true, Whedon wanted the Wasp in Avengers but it was Marvel that made him include Black Widow. Either way we would have had our single super heroine.

The thing about ms marvel is she doesn't really have a great supporting cast. That's why it would be great to introduce her and sword in the same movie

It was true that Wasp was there originally, but Whedon had to fight for Widow. Even the great Marvel is not invulnerable to the anti action heroine syndrome.

It may not be well known, but she has a great supporting cast, which includes the superhero Mar-Vell and any Kree you need along with him, as well as Michael "Ace" Rossi and any other Air Force personnel you need. Karla Sofen, future supervillainess and long time therapist for Danvers. This is in addition to any existing characters (Fury, Rhodey) or New SHIELD Agents (Abigail Brand, Clay Quartermain) that are introduced. With a love interest, a mentor/superhero, a therapist and three very large organizations, she has a stronger supporting cast than any other Marvel superheroine, with the possible exception of Black Widow.

Thanks for linking those articles DrCosmic, all this time I thought that Marvel was actively pushing BW.

Don't forget being best friends with Jessica Drew.

Indeed... which connects her to HYDRA. Then you have her on-off-again psuedo interest Wonder Man and all off that malarkey. Yikes. She is connected on a personal level to a number of superheroes, honestly, including, Iron Man and Dr. Strange, not just as fellow Avengers or whatever. If I were doing a Captain Marvel movie I would also include a young Rick Jones to boot.

Having Mar-Vell, Spider-Woman and Wonder Man as supporting superheroes does make her a bit unique... also positions her to be sort of a standout-in-an-ensemble type set up like in Alien or Resident Evil. Not the way I would go but it struck me a bit just now.

That's cool but I think there are a number of female superheroes with a great supporting cast like scarlet witch and she hulk definitely. Karla would definitely work well and would need to be included. Captain marvel obviously has to turn up

I'm a little skeptical on SW's supporting cast. You'll have to enlighten me.

This, there's Vision and I don't even know who else. For the most part she bounces back between the Avengers and X-Men and has never had a solo series.
