Homecoming Who should reboot villain be? (Poll Version) - Part 1

Gary Sinise would be a good Captain Stacy, but for Miles Warren I like Alan Tudyk!
I hadn't thought of Sinise for Captain Stacy before, but that would be great! Not sure if I like him better than Enrico Colantoni, though.

An Tudyk would be a perfect Miles Warren!

I actually like the list because they're all smaller scale villains which can suit the highschool setting and social world of Peter Parker. Mysterio in particular could work well as a Nightmare on Elm street, I know what you did last summer, Saw, Jason -esque type, in a PG-13 film, type heavy, who torments the kids of midtown high.

Much like the villains in Harry Potter, he could work as a figure who's villainy directly effects Peter's circle of friends and classmates as opposed to another villain trying to turn New Yorkers into something or trying to destroy the all of New York city yet again. It also be much more compelling them him just trying to rob banks. I haven't really been for using him as a sole villain but if they use him in that capacity which is targeted and focused in a way in which his motivations and targets are actually relevant to Peter's life, I could be on board for that.

I actually like the sound of that a lot. I think part of what made Doc Ock work so well in SM2 was the creative liberties taken with the character. They did a great job of making him a very compelling Frankenstein-esque villain.

We where alreafy talking about this days ago. And likely isn't fully true as I believe most of the rumor got debunked. Also moviepilot isn't the best site to quote on thing. It's a pretty bs site that is random opinion stories then real hard facts.

He is a pretty stupid villain. But man he would have a cool power set to see on film.

I'd really like to see a Captain Stacy that's already exhausted of having these superhumans running around his city and blowing it to bits. Maybe he sees Spider-Man as a more "cooperative" ally than the other super-heroes, or at least someone who doesn't leave as much of a trail of destruction.

Someone like Andy Buckley in The Office, perhaps. He played David Wallace, a benevolent and straight-faced CEO who was already exhausted of trying to fix the incredible mess his employees turned the company in.

"Captain, there's another huge guy wrecking Harlem! This time it dresses like a Rhino!"

Can Chamelon mimic powers? Like Hulks strength or Iron Mans beams? I wanna see Chameleon. He'd be the perfect excuse for another Marvel creature/hero/or villain to cameo. Like perhaps he disguises himself as JJJ and we get Spider-Man vs Jameson or Nick Fury or Iron Man or Thor. The possibilities are quite literally endless.

he can't mimic powers, that I know of, other then, if say he wanted to be Iron Man he might create gauntlet gloves that mimic the beams

The spot for reboot villain:hmm
He'd make a good one-fight, day of the week type villain. His power set would make for a pretty impressive sequence.

That's definitly a key part of what I want from the character, irritated by and mocking of the craziness in his precinct, a doting father, and willing to tolerate Spider-man (At least until the symbiote interferes with things) Have you seen much of Enrico Colantoni's work? He's shown a huge amount of range, and could easily pull off all of the various aspects: tender father, wise mentor, and kick-butt police captain.

Actually with his powers he could be a formidable foe. And right story could so bump him up from lose villain to higher level.

I've seen Enrico Colantoni a number of times (though never on a starring role), but he seems to always bring either harshness or sleeziness to his roles, which is not something I'd like on Captain Stacy. Same goes for Dean Norris.

I'm leaning more towards the collected, noble, tired version of the character. Something like his turn in SSM.

I just thought of a another name for George Stacy even though we are bit derailing the threads main topic. What if they picked mcguver/ stargate sg1 star Richard dean anderson.

I was playing Ultimate Spider-Man on GBA and realized he eats people and now...now I'm having second thoughts about where they'd go with that solo film.

They probably wouldn't have venom eat folks. Didn't happen in sm3. Why would they do it now.

Love to see The Chameleon always been a fav of mine. I would like to see him as more a behind the scenes plotter or have him team up with Hammerhead.

Yip Chameleon is long over due his movie appearance.

At risk of derailing the thread further, I'd definitly advise you to look up some of his highlight scenes from his role as Elias on Person of Interest. Despite his role as a gangster, "Collected, noble, and tired" is a perfect description of him.

On topic, I think it's a safe bet Venom won't be eating anybody in the movies.
