Hat Guy and his Hat.

I got emotional when Hat just up and left Hat Guy, without even saying goodbye. And I was a bit disappointed Nolan didn't follow through on that story arc, but in my heart I know they got back together in the end.

A part of me is saying that I shouldn't be surprised if/when the Selina/Bruce option wins.lol...but I got to admit, that aside from the whole stabbing in the stomach thing.lol..let alone it being an facade..for the way that it was presented in the first half, I didn't mind Bruce and Miranda.lol

I felt the romance between Bruce and Miranda before she revealed herself to be Thalia was very rushed. He had turn her down so many times before, and then just after the board meetting? She goes as far as screwing him, lol. I guess it made sense though once the twist came.

I didn't really mind Bruce and Rachel (Katie Holmes was a bit miscast though) at all really, and liked that they had known each other since childhood and fell in love somewhere in those years. But, i'll definitely go with Bruce and Selina. They're both a bit similar in personailty, understand each other, and Bruce dosen't have to worry as much if she got in a fight or attacked by thugs as he would of with Rachel, lol. It was too bad we couldn't get even more scenes with them, the relationship was very entertaining and the chemistry between Bale and Hathaway really surprised me. What we got was great though, and the dance scene had some great dialgoue.

:funny:

Bruce and Selina of course.

The couple Bruce stumbles upon making out in his penthouse while making his way to the secret door/wall that leads to the bunker. I thought they were the most honest of Nolan's couples acting out their desires in a fervent **** session while evil threatens to destroy it all in the other room.

Bruce and Selina. I just feel they had the best chemistry between them.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bane and Talia. They're all over tumblr now.

Batman and Catwoman were puuuuuuuurfect together, awesome fighting together too, brilliant.

Definitely Bruce and Selina. That whole dynamic was captured so well.

The Tumbler and The Batpod.

You can just feel the emotion when the Batpod has to leave behind his old love the Tumbler. That last sweet "Goodbye" tugs at the heartstrings.

Bruce/Selina, totally. I also liked Bruce/Rachel (TDK) because of how delusional Bruce was about their "relationship." Rachel pretty much treated him like a child ("They're not gonna let us be together") and clearly had no romantic interest in him. Tate used this to get close to Bruce, so I considered it fairly important.

However I felt Bale/Hathaway had great chemistry together, so I voted Bruce/Selina as my favorite couple.

Edit: Batman11 reminded me of Bruce/Martha and
Talia/Ra's, as hinted at very subtley through Bruce's attraction to Selina and Talia's attraction to Bruce.

Hmm, why isn't the Alfred/Lucius ship up on the poll? I confess, it was a more subtle relationship compared to the others we were presented with (Hat breaking up with Hat Guy was way over the top), but that's what made it interesting.

The way they both identically describe Miranda to Bruce ("We all just want what's best for you..." - Bruce's non-verbal reaction speaks volumes), their sexually-charged first on-screen encounter in Begins by bedside, etc. I dunno, I guess I'm the only one who appreciates what Nolan was going for. :csad:

There were couples in this series? The only one that comes to mind was Harvey and Rachel.

It was never revealed whether Bruce and Selina were a couple, nor was their relationship developed.

The Tumbler/Batpod and Alfred/Lucius relationships will be underappreciated for lifetimes to come :(

Yeah. The gained a respect for one another during the scene where Bruce caught Selina breaking into the vault at the beginning.

Can you just imagine Bruce telling Helena his "how I met your mother" story?

Your mother stole my stuff, kicked my cane and called me a cripple :woot:

She did get a pearl necklace though.

Bruce and Selina. But romance wasn't this series' strong suit.

Yeah IMO Selina wearing the pearls in the end points to them being a couple by that time. The movie spent way too many times talking about the significance of those pearls for its appearance on Selina's neck in the end to not mean anything. Also, we don't know how much time has passed since that cafe scene so there might've been enough time for them to actually develop something since their time in Gotham.

I do agree though that it's still underdeveloped. It definitely has me wishing that we've seen more of them develop something throughout the movie.

Bruce/Seline... by lightyears

Bale and Anne nailed the Bruce/Selina love and hate relationship in the comics.

The interesting thing is Bruce's dynamic with Selina wasn't really much different from his interactions with any of the male characters, aside from that pretty empty kiss.

There was no passion between them, no romance. There was just mutual respect.

Whereas in Batman Returns, the relationship is most definitely a romantic relationship. Perhaps Chris wanted to leave it vague.

Selina Kyle is winning?

I'll take Rachel Dawes over her anyday. Rachel taught Bruce the difference between justice and revenge, he longed to be with her since childhood, she was the one hope he had past Batman, her death shook him to the core, changing him into a recluse, and the two characters had two whole movies to develop a believable relationship together, where we, the viewer, became invested in the two and wanted to see them together.

Selina was just some tart in a tight suit, who stole his dead mother's jewelry, despised him entirely, left Bruce to die at the hands of Bane, hardly shared any scenes with him, and despite all of this, for some reason, at the end of the movie she asks him to "runaway with her" and in the end, we're led to believe they get married and live happily ever after. (There's something to add to the "Unintentionally funny Moments" thread..)

Bruce/Rachel FTW.

None of Bruce's romances deserve to win this poll, but the result is not surprising.

Bats/Cats is one of the most overrated romances in comics, even if it is a great relationship, so I'm not surprised that the poll is lopsided.

The BR relationship is still tops. You actually felt that Keaton/Pfeiffer COULD end up in a cafe together one day.
