Sequels Who would you bring back: Green Goblin or Doc Ock?

Ock's dead. We just see him motionless sinking down into the bottem of the water. Can we movie on? And besides, why would I want to see a villain I already saw? And that wouldn't be good for the toy companies. They need a new villain to sell.

Everyone should stay dead. Goblin and Ock had great stories and served their purpose, but they died. Sandman, although alive,is someone who I wasn't really interested in and could care less about. Harry is dead. Venom is the only one I'd love to see again but they messed up his character so badly in Spider-man 3 that he should probably remain dead untill a reboot.
Bring on the Lizard!!!

Neither. There is absolutely no need:
Lizard
Electro
Scorpion
Kraven
Chameleon
Mysterio
Shocker
Vulture
Rhino
Beetle
Hobgoblin
Carnage

The first three in particular are deserving of making the leap to the big screen.

Carnage and Hobgoblin would be awesome on the big screen. I can't wait to see what they do with the Lizard though!

I'm with Chris, no Hobby or carnage, the goblins' have had their limelight and the symbiotewas ruined in SM3... time to give the reigns to someone else.

I think we're kidding ourselves if you don't think ONE of them is coming back soon if this part 4 and 5 shooting back to back rumor pans out. I remember reading the rumor that once we know who's playing the villain we'll know which villain it is(or something like that). Part of me wants Doc Ock to lead the sinister six and part of my just wants more GG. Ideally I'd like both. Green Goblin can be the overal financial benefactor and Ock can be their field leader.

Yes. Both:

No to Hobgoblin. No to Carnage.
Agreed, we need to let other Villians have the spotlight. There are plenty of popular ones that haven't been used yet. For example: Lizard, Kraven, Vulture, Mysterio, Electro, Scorpion, Rhino, etc. As I said before, leave Carnage for the Venom spin-off film. He'd fit in much better in that film.

Well, I really don't think Ock is returning, but, at the end of the "Ock-umentary: on the S-M2 disc, there was a hint that Ock could return. Now, I don't see him returning. I mean, as you said, we saw him motionless in th water, but remember, it's a comic book movie. Almost anything can happen.

yeah i read an article that says that once we know whos playing the villain, we'll know who the villain is.
that being said, i think it can be either return of Venom(Topher Grace), Lizard(Dylan Baker), or Vulture (Ben Kingsley).

of course, it can be other villains with different actors, because remember guys? when we first heard that thomas haden church would be playing a villain in Spiderman3, and when we saw the picture of him, we all knew that it was going to be Sandman

True, but my money is still on the Lizard. Sam Raimi, Stan Lee, etc, have all stated that they watn to see the Lizard in S-M4.

i think it's Lizard, too. considering the fact that Lizard is Sam Raimi, Stan Lee,Gran Curtis' favorite villain to use now.

If it's Lizard, my only disspointment will be that we probably won't see Scorpion. I highly think that after seeing Lizard, they probably won't use Socrpion. (at least not right after)

I think it would be a helluva waste to have Dylan Baker bit part in both 2 and 3 to set up the character and not then not have the Lizard as the main villain at some point down the line.

True, there are other villains that I'd also like to see cinematically; but the Lizard's been waiting patiently - he deserves his shot.

I think we'll see scorpion in S-M5. Maybe along with Electro or Mysterio or something.

Niether. They are both dead as far as I am concerned. Move on to other villains and plots.

The goblin trilogy is over, so no GG.
I'd like Doc Ock to come back but I don't see how could they possibly motivate him other than amnesia or more of that 'little AI voice in the head' crap, neither of witch will be original or interesting.
What I really want to see back is Sandman.
Now I don’t expect any of you SM3 haters to comprehend this but for any one else who might:
Whatever the departure from the comics is, imagine this - he is the one villain that caused Peter the greatest pain, and Spidey actually forgave him for it. Furthermore he’s still out there on the run. Now if Raimi and co are talented enough to go even further with that controversy, I’d love to see the NY authorities trying to catch Sandman for their own reasons and the only one who can truly do that is Spider-Man…but he won’t. Not only would that finally bring back the edge of ‘NY hates Spidey’ that the movies so foolishly abandoned, but it would also put Spidey in a great dilemma - should he catch Flint Marko, despite the honour he previously displayed towards him, just because NY demands it and he is their servant, or should he try and show the thug’s misunderstood potential to all citizens, risking to permanently damage his own credibility?
Name me one other hero-villain relationship with such a dynamic.
I wouldn’t want Flint to go back to his crime spree or give himself up because that would insult and invalidate the forgiveness ending of SM3. On the other hand I wouldn’t mind the later, if they do it really well, like Sandman victimising himself, just to finally end the whole fuss that was blown far out of proportion. And as the police take him away, he would share a stare with Spidey, which would symbolise something like: “No matter what anyone else might think, at least you and I know the truth.” And then we might have Spidey visit Flint in prison, with at least mildly contemplating on the idea of breaking him out but never actually doing it of course.
However, looking at Raimi’s history of retconning his own movies - he did it with the Evil Dead sequels and he did it with the Spider-Man sequels, despite how SM2 enthusiasts might be blind to this, I’m giving far too much creative credit to him.

So anyways, yeah, the Lizard is the safest way to go.

Godly words, IMO. Sam has actually said almost the exact same thing. Dylan Baker has been established greatly throughout all 3 films, so it really seems like it's time for the Lizard.
