Yeah I think Thor is going to be the powerhouse we all know and love in this film, I just hope they show him actually attacking something or someone in the 2nd trailer.

Nah I think he's protecting the Quinjet from incoming danger, either from a large storm or enemy forces.

All this recent footage has set my mind a-raging with thoughts about how his interactions with the rest of the heroes on earth will effect him once he goes back to Asgard in Thor 2.
They probably won't make much mention of it at all, other than a quick throw away line here or there, but that's fine by me.

Hard to tell in this gif but i love the way Thor flips/turns his Mjölnir in that group shot. It look 100% cooler in the actually fluid trailer. If any one find a better gif post it.

Looks more like charred paper flying around haphazardly. Plus, I'm inclined to agree with itchyscratch that it looks like there's something way up high in the center of that shot that is moving very much like the "neck" of the Leviathan. And I'll also point out that Fin Fang Foom's breath is actually more of a plasma than a typical dragonfire cone, and that image above reminds me of overheated plasma coagulating or something.

But I dunno....some of those external blasts look like fireworks/explosives....I could go either way on that.
