The Avengers "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be Hemsworthy, shall possess the power of Thor" - Part 3

He lifted an ultimate version of Mjolnir and broke the "unbreakable" Wolverine. Everything has limits, and when were are dealing with different continuities, rules of the 616 universe might be broken.

That being said, no one in Avengers' films is going to do it. Hulk tried because he was in battle. I doubt Cap or Stark would even try.

Bad examples. The hammer he lifted was not Mjolnir, it was an artificial hammer.
And adamantium is not unbreakable in the ultimate universe.
Anyway, Hulk can't and won't lift it.:yay:

Thor still refered to it as Mjolnir, and ripping Wolverine in half was still unthinkable.

Regardless, I liked the Mjolnir shot Thor gave Hulk in the film. It made you think.."Wow, that sounded like it hurt! Wow, he knocked Hulk down! Wow! Hulk's right back on his feet!"

Both characters we treated properly. Although in the next film....

I expect them both to get knocked around a bit by Thanos.

Really, at the time he had artificial powers (his belt and the hammer, which was a generator). Far from the real Mjolnir he gets after he becomes a god again.
And,yeah, that blow was fantastic.
Oh yeah, I want to see the two heavy hitters getting a hard time with Thanos!

Cool, while we're throwing around possible rules being broken in 616, here's one...

Hulk reaches an anger limit :)

And he crossed his arms a lot; that makes them even more impressive.

This I never get, why is ripping Wolverine apart unthinkable? It's like the perfect solution to dispatch him. While his bones are laced with adamantium, his cartilage isn't. Otherwise moving would be pretty damn hard.

Yeah, specially in the ultimate universe, where adamantium is very durable, but far from unbreakable.

It should be no different in 616. You're a super powered being and Wolverine starts to piss you off? Tear him limb from limb.

Agreed. Or do what Hulk did to him in WWH: hold him and punch his head so hard (several times) that his brain turns into jelly, then throw him away.:woot:

And then he comes back again, and again and again. :word:

Yeah, he's worse than Jason Voorhees...

People seem to hate on Logan just because they are jealous their favorites just can't compare in terms of popularity. It is shame really, as it blinds most to the fact that he is still one of the best reads out their most of the time.

Wolverine is one of my favorite characters. But sometimes I just get tired of him because he appears everywhere. Same with Deadpool, love the guy, but get tired of reading the comics because there are now tons out.

I certainly don't hate him (my 3rd favourite x-man). And my favourites can be compared to him in popularity.:word:

The problem with Wolverine, and in the last few years, Deadpool, is that they have so many appearances, they almost become gimmicks. And it doesn't help when you have one writer writing them this way, and another writer writing them that way. There is no consistency.

It'd be better just to have them with one book with a great writer who fully understands what the character is about.

That is a writing issue, not a Logan issue.

Or you can do what Thor did and fry him.

Did he actually hurt Thor in that first panel?

Another thing that annoys me about Wolverine. "Oh, I have adamantium claws, I can cut through anything as if it's wet tissues."
