i think the final dbz dub voices are pretty good. i like goku,gohan,goten,and vegeta voices the best. and dbz is not so bad naruto pretty decent but the flash back things made me want to throw things ae the tv. all and all dbz and naruto have their high and low points get over it and move on.

If you're talking about the Orochimaru/Sarutobi fight, what's to like about that one? For 5 freakin epiodes, I had to watch a hand try to grab a soul and a sword twitch in a man's chest. I waited so damn long to see Sasuke fight Gaara and the attack on the village shot that all to hell. I still love the show but some of the stuff they did with the end of that arc were poorly executed.

Naruto vs Neji is more the type of fight I'm interested in. NOT fights like Chouji vs Dosu.

2- Sasuke is a traditionally old style japanese... a black haired guy who puts perfection before anything else, with a rivalty to the American looking character.. showing the conflict between old eastern and new western

3- Kame senin, Master roshi... Old men are despicted perverted everywhere in asian media... if you have not watched honk kong movies you don't know about the old man, wise shaolin style monk who is either a drunk, a perv, a gambler or a combination of those... where do you think they got the idea from Miroku?

4- Japanese believe in Ki, which is Chakra... Bleach has SPirit force... Saint Seiya has "Cosmos"... Megaman has freaking Protons... If you know a little about Tsaoism, Hinduism and Budhism you'll know that they beleive in an inner energy that sorrounds us... Chi/Ki/Chakra..

5- Old Leaders watch over they villages...

Dragon ball was supposed to end at first when Oolong made his wish("I want Bulma", which the dragon understood as "I want a panty" and the whole castle of Pilaff), then they extended to Namek and after that too Boo... saying someone's ripping off Dragonball is like saying someone's ripping off "Once upon a time in china"(Yet Li movie, Wong Fei Hun), since that movie was based on the life of a famous martial artist...

Wow, there's a lot of tension in this thread, lol. Anyway, my answer is the characters. I love this show because after a while, i became attached to some of the characters and their situations. Plus it has some of the best fights I've seen in a shounen.

And Like I've said before, DBZ and Naruto are nothing alike.


IF taking in ones clothing and physical characteristics was a basis for saying that one is based after the other, every anime is based off of another.


They are nothing a like.

You should actually read the manga in addition to watching the anime. There are little things that don't make it that are pretty important.

And the 2nd part of the Manga that hasn't been animated yet is gonna blow the DBZ-tards outta the water.

I see Naruto more as a Japanese anime version of Harry Potter than a DBZ.

There are some DBZ influences in Naruto, and Kishimoto is a huge DBZ fan. But they pretty distinct.
