The first Movie should be great and sequels should aspire to surpass it. Not being medicore on the first try and then putting some more effort in a sequel.

Fantastic Four 2 was an improvement on the poor 1st movie.

you really want to use FF2 as an example of how DB2 could be better than this? it made LESS than the original...worldwide AND domestic and there hasn't been any talks about another sequel. what an improvement!!




seriously though....leave the sequel talk to the sequel forums. we don't even know if this will get a sequel yet.

My main problem with the film and mind you I'm just getting this from what we have all heard and seen so far, it's trying to hard to be based in "reality". Lets face it, no matter how hard it try's it never will be.

But that's not a bad thing. I say go balls to the wall fantasy, but take it seriously. Lord of the rings is a great example. It had an amazing story already and with the films they kept all the fantasy but took it seriously. There's no reason Dragonball couldn't have done this.

That's just my opinion.

DB could've been easily the next Neverending Story. Instead we get Bulletproof Monk with energy blasts. That's at least the vibe I get from the Teaser.

Yeah as Long as it's entertaining I'll be happy. Not satisfied at all, because I really wanted an epic DB movie since I was like 12. But I'll be happy.

A lot of movies are entertaining... Doesn't make them good. Then there are a lot of good movies that make you think etc... and aren't entertaining at all. Then they have the double whammy. A good entertaining movie :P

Well, we'll have to wait at least one or two decades now before someone else comes along, with balls, a broad vision, and a studio with lots of money to back him up, before we get an epic fantasy fest with dinosaurs, all kinds of talking animals, human hybrids, Goku actually being Goku and Piccolo actually looking like Piccolo.

after seeing the trailer, even though i thought it looked okay, it made me even more depressed that we're not getting a bigger, beefier movie. i wanted to jump out of my seat and cry tears of joy if i ever saw a teaser for a live action Dragon Ball flick. however, i'm left with a feeling of utter "meh"...

i deffinatly couldn't describe the level of expectation and the first impression better....u r right...

Talking animals i think would ruin it, especially seeing Pigs and Dogs in clothes, the Dinosaurs would be cool though unnecessary
