I think the costumes are good in this movie. The only thing I am bummed out about is the pants of goku's gi but other than that they are good. They are million times better than the ****ty gi joe costumes.

OMG, the GI Joe costumes are FUBAR to the max, they look like Starship Troopers, I agree about Goku's pants

That's debatable. Judging from all the hate this movie has gotten, I think it's fair to say it will be mediocre at best. As far as Spider-Man 3, you're right. I don't think anyone expects that and those that do are in complete denial.

I'ts popular in america. The games still sell. but ever since they only showed re-runs of the show (u know, since there aren't any new episodes) it's ratings dropped significantly. But in it's hay day it had twice as many fans as naruto. (...in america) so it's definitely mainstream compared to other animes

Honestly I never really knew anyone growing up who was really into Fantastic Four. Yet in highschool I saw quite a few kids wearing DBZ shirts, collected merchandise and searched for the Japanese episodes that hadn't been released here.

I think your getting recognition and popularity mixed up besides the 2 movies that did decent nobody cares about Fantastic Four at all.

Exactly. What I meant was that even though Spider-Man 3 made a lot because of hype, it still was around mediocre for most. (I really liked it) Dragon Ball can't pull that off because the stereotype of it is hour long charging up, ridiculous hair, and very loud screaming for no reason. People will go into the movies thinking this way probably 50% of the time.

It also cant pull off that because as popular as Dragonball is around the world its still not as big as Spiderman even if it was more successful in game and TV.

Its also the first movie having the same problem with fans X-men 1 had, whereas Spiderman 3 was a sequel to a good film.

We really havnt seen anything but a promo which has nothing important in it. I too dont like Gokus pants, im fine with the gi and all but his pants could have looked much better.

The reasoning for that is some people look at the studio behind the film, Fox in this matter, and look at their previous track record, especially with adaptations. Alot of fans feel as though the way DB is being adapted is not really doing the series justice, so far the leaked photos have been met with more negative comments than positive ones, which is inevitable for a film prior to its release. There is always gonna be people who like what they see and some who dislike it, in this situation there seems to be more people disliking it.

Nah I think people are using process of deduction to come to the conclusion that this will be a sub par movie. Bad screen caps + Bad/moderate casting + little enthusiasm with the production team + fox + other variables and came to the conclusion that this won't be good.

It isn't alone just Fox, however it does play a factor into making an early judgment of an adapted film.

I was googling DB news and came across a forum where that blogger from IGN "I like turtles" made a thread bashing DB the movie. What surprised me was that some of the people in the forum started wondering if all these extremely critical postings might be unjustified. Little by little people are realizing there's a heavy slant to some of these sites that corrupts their reporting of db news and maybe that will backfire on their little agenda as more decide to give the movie a chance.

No I don't think everyone who hates the movie is a "hater" and just wants to see the movie fail, but there are those who have a serious chip on their shoulder, that's fo sho.

The film will be fantastic to those who have faith in its potential to be good. My thinking at the time of posting was that those who will give the movie a chance will probably actually go to see it, therefore they'll enjoy it when they discover it's fantastic. I hope that clarifies things.
