I'd scrap a direct sequel to Superman Returns. Forget Lois' son, forget that Superman has returned. Just make a normal Superman film, introduce a new strong villain. Make the film fun, not too serious or meaningful.
Whack Arnolds said:Yup. A new origin film. Relevant to the times. Deals with issues facing the curent world. Straight faced, but gives hope and light, AND IS FUN for the audience to watch. Action packed, but plenty of story as well. Just ignor everything that came before. Let those films be those films.

Most people seemed to like it....granted the emotionally STUNTED didn't..![]()

And the BO numbers show it.

There's no way I'd pay to see a sequel to this film. There's far too much clutter that would have to be incorporated into a follow-up picture for me to even imagine it being good. So while I'm sure there are a lot of complaining fanboys out there who will see it despite their better judgement ("Worst, Cosmic Wars, Ever. I will only see it three more times... today!"), I'm not one of them.Venom71 said:And when they do make the sequel to SR and Singer directs with all the cast returning..all the ones on here complaining about SR will be in line to see the sequel.
Man, sure is a lot of haterade drinkers on this board, and as always it hardly matters. SR is still solid and it is a quality mature film. If its not your cup of tea go back and watch X3 (shudder) The sequel will build on the strong characterization of SR, and take it boldly forward. Superman vs. Brainiac anyone?Showtime029 said:There no doubt will be another Superman movie
My guess is if you or anyone who takes the time to post on these boards..no matter how much they claim to dislike the movie/Singer and his writers...they will see the sequel..to see what happens next and to see what Singer and company have done different. You doen't spend your time on a board just to complain about something and not see if your complaining has paid off....at least I hope you wouldn't..sounds useless to me.Fan of Tomorrow said:There's no way I'd pay to see a sequel to this film.
