So, can someone briefly explain the character of Venom for me? Is he like a vicious killer beats version of Spider-man?

I hate the version of Venom that I saw in the trailer! It look's like a doll, the head is to big, and the body is too thin! I think that it could look a lot better. Mark bagley's and todd macfarlane's Venom are great. They should use them as models. I must be the only guy that loves venom but hates it in the movie!(at least until now...)

Dark, i highly suggest looking him up. All i know is... hes an alien. Although he has taken Eddy's body (i'll say captive) Eddy Brock has no control over Venom (at first). Its an alter ego type thing. Venom uses Eddy's body to get back at Spider-Man... for whatever reason it is. I wanna say that Peter Parker knows how to stop the alien symbiote, and that may be a reason.

Reminder... Peter once had Venom attached to him... when he did that, he could enter Peter's mind and alter his thoughts... but not take over Peter.

Like i said look it up...

To be honest. I like this look for Venom. Its the classic look, but its not over the edge like the new comic Venom. They just keep making him bigger n bigger. It keeps the realism (even though he is an alien).
And maybe its the wrong thread... but i don't think we should expect him much in the film. I think that THIS scene will happen only at the end, and leave the audience DY'N to see the 4th movie... i think its a MAJOR way to make the fans begg. So, as a director, that would be my choice to do this film.

i agree with you man, they shouldnt even show venom yet. i think the venom they showed in the trailer was just old footage and they havent completely finished it b/c the tongue wasnt hangin out nor was there drooling, and his size was still small. so im guessing the eddie/venom transformation wasnt complete. when they show the new preview in jan/feb it will probably show venoms full look IMO.

im pretty sure venom will be near the end, but i HOPE that scene w/ eddie transforming is the last scene. it would PISS OFF alot of fans that are looking forward to this movie the most to see venom. i know i fall in that category.

brock transforming into venom is not the last scene. after he transforms he goes and kidnaps mj and brings her to the construction site. venom fights in the final battle.

i just wish they decided to cast an actor that's older and bigger than Topher Grace for the Eddie Brock part, put a huuuuuge guy like Ron Coleman in a nicely designed Venom suit for live action,

CGId the face and costume and then got to business. That's what I would have done. But they went some other way...

I just hope it works anyway.
