Will we see a Venom that sucks?

The more I hear about the Venom from the movie the more I worry that it will be no good. If they don't do the symbiote as an intelligent life form I don't think it will come off well. The entire story of Venom needs another life form that makes him Venom. Am I the only one who's starting to worry?

I haven't visited these boards for a while - I haven't heard anything about what the symbiote will be like. I hope he's an intelligent life form, though.

And I hope Topher gets nice and buff for the movie - and that he takes his shirt off at least once, just so that all that fangirls can know that he's nice and buff.

The living lifeform thing might not come off as believable to the general public. Since they try to make movies that are as belivable as possible to impress the general public (who they need to impess more than us fans), they might go some other route. But no one really knows yet, and personally, i have faith in sam raimi that hes making the best decision.

All we heard so far are just Rumours,i think we should wait for something official to Judge the Movie Venom.

And of course the movie version of Spider-Man. (rasied webbing, same spider)

AND, if spidey-boy's friend was right and there is two venoms, one with Brock and one without.. I think that the one with the webbing will be the one with Topher (Spidey's size/build) and the one without will look like the beefed out slimey tounge venom that (most people) love.

As for the whole intelligent life form thing, I don't see how they can go any other route besides something like that that controls you.

Overall, we will find out soon enough and if we don't like it.. too bad.

My thoughts exactly. Raimi's made weird choices before, and they've turned out really good so far.

I'm so glad they didn't choose Heath Ledger or, God help us, Freddie Prinze Jr. as Peter Parker as some at the studio originally suggested!

All that post says to me is that I agreed with someone's post, and paraphrased the INWT (In Nolan We Trust) tagline to suit Raimi. I see nothing especially brilliant or idiotic about it.
