Will we see a Venom that sucks?

Here´s the thing, and I know I´m asking too much, and it goes against all geekdom instincts, but here´s a crazy thought... How about we WAIT TILL WE SEE VENOM, then we decide if we think it sucks or not? Sounds like a plan?

No. Never. *folds arms defiently*

John Romita Jr.'s Venom

God, I hate Romita Jr. He should go play Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun...

Don't worry, we're not even getting Venom. We're getting VINO, however.

Erm, should I be honoured?
All that post says to me is that I agreed with someone's post, and paraphrased the INWT (In Nolan We Trust) tagline to suit Raimi. I see nothing especially brilliant or idiotic about it. I've always tried to be respectful, or if not that, benevolently teasing, on these boards. Have I done something to upset you?

You're nowhere near my threat-level, and there the matter shall rest - my taking this any further would be the equivalent of my challenging a ten-year-old to a fight and then crowing about how I "won." Too easy, and therefore not worth doing. :)

ROTFL! That sums the situation up to a nicety.

hmm I remember romita drawing venom much more muscular than that drawing.. you sure that's not just the symbiote?

either way... the slimmer Venom works for me just as well

Yeah, you're right.. that is just the symbiote, he does draw Venom the traditional way. That's the only picture I could find of the symbiote though that didn't look like a cape or a puddle of tar.

Now that we know how Eddie looks like.....He's okay.

But Venom...that's the scary part now.

The more I hear about two freaking Venom's and raised webbing and Eric Foreman as venom. The more I am saddened.

You fanboys are just happy to see "Venom" well it's not him. A generation of kids will think that Venom has raised webbing and people will laugh as they see Eric "In good company" Foreman as Venom. How ****ing intimidating.

Maybe we'll get Spider-Man Begins in 20 yrs done by someone who cares about source material
= organic webbing, Gwemj, MJ living with her parents and other useless slaps in the faces.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It's... dammit...

Venom, I'm going to say this once and then go back to writing my novel no one will ever read.

Not having huge muscles does not automatically make him Vino. If that's the case, spidey is Sino for having those lame organics and hardly quiping. MJ is MJino because she's dunst and so dull. Goblin is Gino for pulling pumkins out his ass instead of a bag. Ock is Oino for having talking tentacles.

But you know what? to me, that stuff didn't kill the movie or the essential nature of the characters themselves, except MJ. damn.

we're not friends anymore. Topher will give us the best venom ever. I know he will. I want to at least.

The more I hear about two venom's and venom having raised webbing and Eric Foreman playing venom I feel sad.

It's sad that so many of you are so excited to see venom, you don't care that's it's an unfaithful crappy version of your beloved character.

It's sad that a whole generation of kids will think that Venom has raised webbing.

It's sad that people will laugh at Topher "In Good Company" Grace is playing Venom.

It's sad that when "That 70's show" is one, I see a wimpy goofball and people want him to play Venom.

Ah well, in 20 years, maybe someone who gives a damn about source material will give us a great re-launch.

sorry about having to say that twice but my computer is crappy right now. Oh look, it's Sony and it's being unfaithful to computers.

It's sad when a person becomes so attached to a character that the slightest different interpretation sends them into a state of delusional anger.

It means Venom in Name only. Coined during the halle berry catwoman movie's release, I believe when someone described her as Cino.

Hey I'll take what I can get. In my mind, these movies are not spider-man movies but Smino movies for several reasons. So I don't see why it's suddenly a great disservice to the franchise to make this physical change to brock... I'm not saying they should, but they've done worse. my enthusiasm is caused by two things.

Topher beating the crap out of tobey. I wanted him to be spidey after seeing how badly tobey played him and how perfect foreman would have been.

and... of course Seeing topher upstage tobey with his charm and wit the way spidey always does in the comics. I want that so badly.:)

So true, we get a lot of fanboyish geeks, who's entire livelihood is based on a bunch of fictional characters that don't belong to them.:o

We deserve better than that Weyseed. These movies have been unfaithful and this is the icing on the cake.

It's like they're saying:
**** you Stan Lee, we don't care what you think about webshooters. We're going to take your part out of the movie. (twice!)
**** you fans! You ****ing zombies will see any old **** we make.
You laugh at Grace as he was initianally cast, but now? Ha! You will obey! You wll like Grace!

Tangled Web, if you have so many complaints, then don't go see it. Don't support something you obviously hate. That simple.

Amen to that.
