Has the Survivor Series card grown at all, or is it still only the five matches?

Still only 5 matches signed on the main card. Three things are going to probably happen:

They are gonna find ways to try to kill time with overlong video packages and backstage segments

Or

They finish early like last year

Or

The main event goes 35-40 minutes.

I'm hoping for the third option.

We know that neither Diva match will get a lot of time, so I would hope for lots of time for the main event and Wyatt-Ambrose. I also hope that the tag title match is elimination style (like each team is eliminated until just one team is left, as opposed to just first team to score a pin fall).

Ugh, Rob Conway vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan for the NWA Title added to WK9. That's, what, 11 matches on a 4 hour show?

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Ring of Honor COO and NJPW President Naoki Sugabayashi met during the week to straighten out the issues that were surrounding the Wrestle Kingdom 9 PPV which is being presented by Global Force Wrestling and to discuss future plans. The two parties are still on good terms and both view the other as an important partner. President Sugabayashi's aim for the meeting was to begin scheduling more joint productions in America next year. Like last May with Global Wars and War of the Worlds, ROH and NJPW are expected to run shows in New York City and Toronto in 2015, but it's believed that NJPW want to run more shows with ROH and a further date for Chicago, as well as another in an undecided location will be announced shortly.

The stars REALLY need to Align for Global Force Wrestling....I really hope that PPV garners enough buzz to have big stations wanting to give them a TV deal. They can very well the next big competition if everything falls into place and the priorities of those involved are right.

Seems like Jarrett wants to reform an NWA-like product where they showcase talents from different companies/territories. Now's the perfect time to do so.

Agred completely..Especially since wrestling fans of this past decade or so might not be used to that concept, that can make it come off as interesting to them.

I am enjoying these Alberto Del Rio Shoots lately. Guy comes off as real likeable.

If only It would have translated onscreen for the guy but at time he just seemed like he was phoning it in when he was in WWE.

I don't really "get" what Global Force Wrestling is trying to be. Is it its own entity/promotion, like WWE or TNA, or is it working as sort of a unifier to bring together and showcase different promotions (like NWA had all the territories)?

Edit- never mind. I started this post like an hour ago and forgot to post it, but now I see other people answering this already.

Do you guys think that the product Crockett was providing could have grown and expanded more successfully if they had access to Ted Turner's pocketbook, the same way Bischoff did?

I mean, the one thing they weren't able to capitalize on regardless was the merchandising and catering to the mainstream children demographic with action figures and stuff BUT I think they could have had more staying power as the adult alternative to the product WWE was providing for longer than they had.

Due to overspending on private jets and other Ideas at times costing more money than they were drawing.

Partnering with the #2 promotion in the world in terms of business and presenting what's more than likely going to be the best WRESTLING show of the year to an American audience and quite possibly the best announcer there's ever been in Jim Ross doing commentary is a step in the right direction.

Well you got me there...I might be reaching but I'd love it if some execs at TNT, AMC, Fox Sports, or even MTV would be impressed and give them a deal.

It looks like AJ vs Nikki isn't the only Diva match happening tonight

I saw a very inappropriate joke/comment on another wrestling forum tonight. Basically, the joke was that the WWE is in St. Louis this weekend, and Ferguson, Missouri.

Seeing HHH beating the **** out of everybody on Team Cena still makes me question why he ISN'T in this match. His power is in jeopardy so shouldn't he do everything to make sure he retains that power?

It's possible someone gets eliminated quick and he uses his "power" to just put himself into the match.

EDIT: on the flip side of things, tonight would be another perfect chance for Cena to turn heel.

Cena will never turn heel so we should move on from that.

And I do like the idea of someone getting eliminated quickly and HHH inserting himself into the match. Maybe someone gets Kane or Henry out early?

Or Rusev walks out of the match.

It's still a tie between Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff and Team WWF vs. Team Alliance as my favorite Survivor Series Elimination Match ever.
