Haven't listened to the podcast with Punk yet, and probably won't get to for at least a few days (at the in-laws' house for thanksgiving/the weekend). Sounds like good stuff.

By any chance does he discuss the continuing "CM Punk" chants during his wife's matches? I have been vocal about how much I hate it, but I would like to know his opinion.

Is it a big coincidence that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were written off TV before this news broke?

Maybe not. And I'm guessing Vince would be scarce as well. Probably why that dumb anonymous GM is back.

I have only read the highlights of Punk's podcast but damn does it cover a lot of stuff we have posted here and were suspicious of, sending him his notice that he was fired on his wedding day is classy.....

To sum up he basically says WWE is a toxic environment that messes with guys heads, doesn't care about their physical well being and is filled with lies and double standards.

He's definitely never going back but his legend will far outlive those that stay, including the nose of noses, all I'd say is that Dolph Ziggler should take heed as he kills himself night after night for something that will never come.

He said a lot of the stuff we've said for years, such as getting his legs cut from underneath him in 2011. I'm gonna go ahead and give the full podcast a listen. I read several interviews but I want to hear it from the man himself.

Oh, and Punk's pitch for Shield originally being Ohno, Ambrose, and Rollins? Man, what a missed opportunity. I like Reigns but man that would've been money.

And they were originally going to be his protectors starting out? Can you imagine that? You could've had a four horsemen type scenario with Punk as champ.

"I sold more shirts than John Cena until I turned heel for you." - CM Punk to Vince.

"You have shackled me, you have creatively stifled me, you have made this a very toxic environment, I no longer want to be here. It boggles my mind how Daniel Bryan has not figured into your plans to be in the main event of WrestleMania because this is his year. Just like two years ago when it was my year and I was white f----- hot, just like he is now, and what did you do? You fed me to this guy.' And I pointed to right at Hunter. Vince was like, 'This is the concussion talking. I can't believe you're saying any of this. It is a main event - you're wrestling Triple H."

"I politely turned to Hunter and I said, 'With all due respect, I do not need to wrestle you. You need to wrestle me. I do not want to wrestle you. I seriously resent you for not putting me over three years ago when you should have. That would have been best for business. But, you had to come in and squash it. And then I had to lose to Truth and Miz. It didn't make any business sense and now I'm in the position where I can tell you I don't have to nor do I want to wrestle you at WrestleMania. I don't care if I was supposed to win - which I was - I didn't want to give him the f------ privilege.

"I said a lot of s--- in there. I told them again - and Hunter was gritting his teeth, and he never liked me. Me and him in a room together - it was always negative vibes." Punk recalled Hunter saying that Punk was in a WrestleMania "main event" last year, but Punk said there is only one main event, no matter how WWE tries to market it to the public.

"Hunter told me I was in the main event because I wrestled The Undertaker," Punk continued. "I turned to him and said, 'Tell me I got paid the same amount of money as you, Brock, Cena, Rock, or whoever.' And once again, he had nothing to say. I was like, 'I'm out of here.' Vince, with tears in his eyes, went in for a hug, and it was like a reluctant patting on the back, then I looked at Hunter and he stuck his hand out and I shook his hand. I said, 'Goodbye,' and I walked out."

Ohno wasn't doing the best in developmental. If anything Cesero should have been in the Reigns spot. Cesero's FCW/NXT work was superior to Ohno's work.

Also, my respect for Punk continues grow to thanks to the podcast. Leaving was definitely the right decision. He said everything we always thought about how WWE works.

Same here.

The staph infection story is so messed up and hardly surprising.

I never thought Vince's level of detachment to the outside world was THAT bad. He's gotta go. Hopefully Linda can convince his crazy ass to retire. He's the new Al Davis.

Vince has to be insane. His comments on UFC sound like pure lunacy.

And if you needed to pinpoint why the Divas division sucks, that was the exact reason why. He must have been completely clueless to who those 4 women were sitting in the front row at Summerslam that his daughter was throwing hand signals at.

It's probably why we never got the Eve Torres MMA badass gimmick I wanted. I mean it was right there with her Brazilian jiu-jitsu training and the Gracie connection.

As I've said before I guess it's safe to say that the WWE broke Punk from everything that's been said.

The only down side to this is once this gets around, if it hasn't already, it may just make the CM Punk chants continue.

For him to hate wrestling now would require getting broken. He used to speak so passionately about it.

Just listened to the whole podcast.

I knew there were legitimate, long running gripes but I had NO idea the extent.

-Being fed to part timers, putting them over in awesome matches
Triple H
The Rock
Undertaker
Brock
And getting told 'I owe you' by Vince each time.

Punk is totally right to say that this KILLS his stock for the casual viewer.

-Incompetent and/or lazy doctors that downplay injuries, concussions, to get him back out in the ring, failing to diagnose and treat a staph infection for months.

-Pressuring him to come back to work off of surgeries within weeks.

-In addition to these building injuries, making him work Ryback, who is dangerous, and sometimes purposely hurts wrestlers.

(Remember there was a story that backstage Cena and Punk went off on Ryback for nearly hurting Bryan?)

-Withholding his royalty checks

-Firing him on his wedding day.

I mean what the hell. Incompetent booking decisions aside, this is deplorable behaviour from the WWE. I'm glad Punk was able to take them to court.

But speaking of incompetent booking decisions, its amazing how much this interview confirms. WWE really is being run by an out of touch old man.

EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE knew that last year was Bryan's year, and EVERYONE here was speculating about how incompetent WWE was in handling it. And its amazing how close on the mark we were. It took for Batista being face to blow up in their face, for Punk to leave, and their original planned angle for Wrestlemania to utterly fail, before they put Bryan in the main event.

I still think that if wwe didn't have such a hard on for Cena vs Lesnar, Batista could return for a non-WM ppv and get a strong face pop for a match against Lesnar for the belt.

I'm not sure there is an easy solution to this. WWE is under pressure to keep the ratings up and that means we need to see John Cena ever week on Raw and Smackdown. They have pressure for ticket sales all over the world at live events. I understand that from a business perspective.

Cena is lucky he is making big money because his body is going to be seriously damaged when he is older.

For me if I'm going to break my neck and suffer nerve damage which mean I've lost feeling in my arms like Kurt Angle then you better pay me a ton of money to make it worth my while.

No amount of money would be worth that IMO.

Also, I don't think anyone should be shocked that he was fired on his wedding day. Remember what happened between Vince and Bret, although with Punk I think that Triple H had a huge hand in this one.

Wow...Punk went in on Vince & Trips! So much for a Hall of Fame induction!

Still not much of a fan of Punk but I agree with Punk's issues with WWE

Ditto, although I suspect he is embellishing and not being a 100% truthful. That's not to say I think he is lying. I imagine he is being honest about most of it simply by how WWE operates

He is absolutely right when it comes to WWE overworking the workhorses.
