I still maintain Punk jobbing to HHH at Night of Champions is one of the dumbest creative moves they've done in the past 10 years.

I'm pretty much with you on that. Burying a popular star is like biting off your nose to spite your face.

Wrestlers are your business and by hurting them, you're hurting the success of your business.

In HHH's case tho....:o

I was thinking about this.....

If CM Punk were to decide to go into acting and was cast in a recurring role in the MCU, I would guess that he would be treated much better by Feige and Company then he would the insane crazed lunatic of Vince McMahon.

Iron Fist?!

I feel like feeding Daniel Bryan to Kane and Brie Bella after his big win at WM 30 would be a top contender for rivaling the level of stupidity mentioned above.lol

I don't want a Deadpool movie until it goes back to Marvel.

Well I'd like it if the current project finally gets off the ground where Liefield himself is involved. I was incredibly impressed by the first draft and have reason to believe the people involved atleast have the right attitude for it but we can go indepth on that in another thread.

Anyway, Punk could be quite interesting in a role of that type

Food for thought:

* Night of Champions 2014 drew 48,000 buys, down from 175,000 buys that Night of Champions 2013 drew before the WWE Network

Hell in a Cell 2014 did 76,000 PPV buys compared to 228,000 for last year’s buyrate before the WWE Network.

So the few fans buying PPVs left were more interested in seeing Ambrose and Rollins in the main event than they were a 3rd Cena/Lesnar match?

I thought smaller guys didnt draw Vince? Obviously I'm not counting the network subscriptions because it's a moot point but it still says something about what people who buy PPVs wanted to see more.

I'll make the most of it till then. Otherwise, barring some miracle, I can watch NXT elsewhere.

Vince will probably react to this with..."Well Paul, as we expected, John vs Randy part 65 drew better numbers for us than Paul Heyman, whose fault it is that the Night of Champions numbers are so low, obviously nothing to do with our genius call to have a WWE Champion who never appears, heheheh pal!"

Granted in both cases he has network subscriptions that he can use as a crutch.

But yeah, people would so pay to see the losers' match over the hot rising young stars that have chemistry...ppftt Mcmahon hopefully sees it for what it is. If it did less than NOC he'd blame Ambrose.

There are literally tons of stream sites with channels dedicated to broadcasting everything on the Network.

I can't wait to see what Vince and Haitch do once Cena is gone, and their favorite part timers (Taker and Lesnar) stop coming back.

Because lets face it ..... the fans won't let them make another John Cena/Hogan type figure. Ad the part-timer schtick has never ever worked, and will continue to not work long after Lesnar's reign.

I don't think it's all because of the type of figure Cena is. It may be part of the problem, but I don't think Cena has ever had the level of popularity of Austin, Rock, or Hogan, so his shelf life was shorter but Vince still kept him on top for nearly ten years. It might help if he were more vulnerable and didn't win so much, but I think if he were a true legend, a lot of fans would forgive his Supermanness.

According to Alvarez, Levesque is furious with Punk over his remarks. He said he received a text message from a person in WWE reading 'Triple H wants to kill Punk.'"

Punk burned his bridge and it was totally worth it. Voice Of The Voiceless FTW!

WWE's history of negligence is astounding.

Johnny Ace strikes again!

Some of you guys wanted to see Punk in a Marvel movie. It might actually happen now! :wow:

Like Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. Haitch's new stooges. Not knocking their work backstage, but they did cut a shoot on him years ago, mocked him and Vince in TNA, and now they're back in WWE working.

Didn't they get fired because they were both pill poppers?

I was okay with it at the time because I thought there was going to be a rematch to follow. Of course, Hunter decided to take his sweet ass time about it.

They're putting all their eggs in one basket for Reigns. Of course, they're probably going to drop the ball with him like they did with Sheamus.

Had Cena kept his attitude instead of getting soft, he would've still been loved and respected by the majority instead of hated and resented. I was probably one of the biggest Cena fans you could find back then, defending his good name against IWC haters, but after he stopped being entertaining and defeated Michaels at Wrestlemania 23, even I gave up on him. :csad:

I think Punk would make a great Hood aka Parker Robbins if they ever adapt that character.

Agents of SHIELD provides a great vehicle for original characters to become part of Marvel continuity, so I'd rather CM Punk be an original character rather than shoehorn him into an existing hero or villain role.

Once Cena is gone they'll just be pushing Roman Reigns in that same spot as the new Superman type character. I don't think they're going to learn their lesson from the Cena backlash because there is no competition, so Reigns won't get organically pushed like Cena should have. He'll be forced into the main event before he's ready, and when the fans question it they'll just write them off as smarks who don't know anything.

Of course things could change since the WWE is really on their heels lately. The Network is flopping, their ratings stink, and their stock is reflecting these things. They might be forced to actually start paying attention to the fans more by letting a potential gem in Reigns grow properly instead of rushing him into the top spot before he's ready. Reigns, like Cena, has a lot of charisma, but he still needs to work on a few things before he's elevated to the big time. If they let him polish up his skills better there won't be a big backlash toward him like with Cena when they went all Suer Cena on us. The pieces are in place for something like that to happen because Ambrose is more seasoned and ready right now, and if Reigns gets pushed over him some fans may start to hate Roman out of spite. They should try to avoid that by not being so obvious with anointing him as the top guy. Hopefully his time off as helped him though. I like Reigns a lot, and I'd love to see him become a great performer like I know he can be.

And for all that's holy. Learn how to properly use Bray Wyatt! Every era needs a great villain. You have one staring you right in the face, but he's being wasted badly. Who the hell is Reigns going to face once he's on top? Who is going to be the guy that you sell a WM main event with Reigns as a clash of titans? Wyatt is possibly their best young talent right now, but he's being pitifully wasted.
