S already a thread for this. I dunno if it's a few pages up or not though or gone. Just sayin'

Old Man Logan should have been a miniseries, not a part of the actual Wolverine book.
I agree, especially when you consider how badly delayed it's been. The only thing that saves it is that it's been awesome. :)

I've loved it so far but the fact that they've amped up the last issue (a one shot) into $5 comic kinda sours me on it and I'm debating if I'll even buy the issue. I can't stand Marvel pricing these days and they cheap ways they're jumping things to $4, let alone $5. I opted to not buy Amazing Spider-Man 600 or Incredible Hulk 600 due to the price tags. There's tons of mini's that I was curious about that I've not bought due to the $4 price tags. I plan on dropping all the Avengers stuff due to them jumping up to $4 once Dark Reign is finished when I had no plan to drop them before now. I was loving Old Man Logan at $3 an issue. It was well worth it. But suddenly here's the final part of a story that everyone's already into and invested in, and then take the final issue, the issue that wraps it all up, and charge an extra $2 a person for those extra few bucks. I understand marvel's a company and they need to make money, but I'm getting to the point where I don't think they're worth the money they're asking.
At 64 pages it's like buying two comics so I think that it's worth $4.99.

My only problem is when they charge 32 page comics at prices higher than $2.99.

This is still scheduled for release this month right? The final issue? The 23rd I believe?

Yeah but do you actually think it I'll hit it's date? Actually millar's been hitting dates right except for the whole not actually writing his last issue of F4 and just plotting it lol. Hopefully this comes out on the date solicited I really want to finish this big dumb action movie comic.

I agree. I've become a lot more selective about the minis and one shots I preorder now just for that reason. :(

Same here. I used to buy all the tie-ins and whatnot but with Marvel charging $3.99 standard for minis and one-shots and releasing way too many of them, I've been a lot more selective as well.

But considering that Giant Size Old Man Logan is the same amount as two comics, I have no problem paying $4.99. Especially since I would be paying a $1 if I bought the extra comic.

Yes but Logan can still be Ko-ed. Colossus could probably do what the hulk did and pound his head in until he gets brain damaged and then ko-ed. Cyclops could fry him until he passes out etc...just because he's invincible doesnt mean he cant be temporarily put out of commission.

He's not invincible and has been killed many different ways in different stories. Fans pick a fav, then the writers make that character god-like to appease their bosses, thus ruining what the fans liked about the character to begin with. I may check this series out, but if Wolverine seriously just defeated the entire X-Men team by himself then I'm done before I start.

Poor Logan. :(

Yeah but the reason he killed them all is because he saw his friends dieing in the hallucination if im not mistaken and he went beserker on every thing he was hallucinating. It was damn cool.

Oh, well that's okay, then. As long as Wolverine was pissed, it makes perfect sense that he could kill every superhero in the world.

^^lols. :p My guess is that they had all been just as befuddled as Logan was, making them easier prey than they would have been otherwise. ;)

I, for the most part, don't care for Wolverine... but I still liked that scene.

You know whats funny about Old Man Logan it's just as ridiculous as a Jeff Loeb book, yet everyone's enjoying it cause it's Millar.

I don't care about Miller or anyone else really. It's a good story... WAY better than most of Loeb's recent stuff. How you can put Old Man Logan in the same boat as Ultimatum or Hulk is beyond me. It's better crafted and better told. And it's an intentional alternate future so it doesn't negatively effect anything like Loeb's stuff.

I said it's ridiculous and over the top like Loeb's writing. Millar and Loeb both do that. And yes I agree Loeb has plot holes the size of the grand canyon lately in his writing.

I hate both Millar and Loeb's writing, so that doesn't apply to me either.

I would have to agree. This is the best Wolvy tale in a real long time. It's worth the long waits in between issues.

oh and just to get it straight I wasn't comparing this to Hulk or Ultimatum. I'm comparing the author's writing styles. I agree this is a good story but there was 1 or 2 I can't remember issues where almost nothing happened. I'd of preferred this to be released as a graphic novel instead of a monthly comic. I guess deadlines don't exist when you have a big writing team doing a story.

Joe Quesada really needs to start acting like a boss and heavily enforce deadlines on his writers and artists cause this is getting ridiculous. I know some artists like Mcniven take longer than others but there should be no excuse to have a comic delayed more than one month. I get the feeling sometimes that Millar gets to do whatever he wants just cause he's Millar. But look at Bendis, Bendis is just as big as Millar and Bendis almost always churns out all his books on a timely schedule, every issue of Secret Invasion was on time (except the last one), Ult. Spidey's always on time, Avengers is always on time etc etc. So there's no excuse.

No that really is no excuse, he thought he was killing all the villians though. Mysterio had him get all hallucinafied (yes i invented that word) and when he did well the above panel shows what happened. Thats how the X-men were taken out. The villians didnt want to do it so they just had the best killing machine in the world do it, while making him think wolvie was killing the villians. Which kinda works when you think that Logan would think that all the villians just came for him seeing as how self centered he is.

Yeah, Wolverine's motivation for killing them isn't in question. The idea that he could kill all the X-Men is kind of absurd, though. Not only has Cyclops batted him around single-handed, but the X-Men are also the world's single largest collection of telepaths.
