For a variety of reasons, a place to converse about Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in BvS specifically.
Although it would be great if Diana was presented as a ambassador or head of a wondrous charitable organisation and if Wonder Woman was the one who convinced Superman and Batman to set aside their differences and to work for the greater good as a team, I'm not sure her role will be that substantial.
This is what I want! I think they will do the ambassador thing and play it up and they flip (they it won't surprise nerds like us) and whaaaaa the ambassador is Wonder Woman?!?! Yeah her role will be small given that Gal Gadot got bottom billing.
Which is entirely true, and has *nothing* to do with what the studio execs choose to blame for the underperformance. I'm not saying BvS failing to meet goals would be Gal Gadot's fault. I'm saying that it might get pinned unfairly on her, because its easier to blame a relatively new and politically powerless actress than admit that the executives themselves screwed up.
Basically, I hope that Gal Gadot's performance is strong enough that if the execs blame anyone, its Zach Snyder. Which has the dual benefit of not perpetuating the "nobody wants superheroines" meme, and being largely true to reality.[/QUOTE
Her role isn't big enough for anyone, movie goer, fan, or exec, to blame this movies failures and shortcomings on her. It jus isn't going to happen
It seems like she will meet both throughout the film as a civilian from what I can gather from the trailers. In my opinion, seems like we may only see her as Wonder Woman in the final third of the film possibly.I am hoping that WW is not the one to stop Batman and Superman's conflict by just showing up, I do want her to meet both in her civilian guise and talk to them as Clark and Bruce and for whatever they take away from those interactions to play into the ceasing of hostilities.
I'm sure the action will be good. But WW wise, I'm looking forward to her dance scene with Bruce the most, I think.
Entertainment Weekly said:Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) has a major supporting role, with her alter ego, Diana Prince, running afoul of Bruce Wayne as they engage in rival missions to steal some of Luthor's most disconcerting secrets. Even before she brandishes a sword and her golden lasso, Wonder Woman's secret identity is pretty badass.
