My concern is that they are going to make thor to God like. I mean i asume once he is banished to earth he will lose much of his powers perhaps but just from the interviews so far they seem to want to make uber powerfull (as he should be) but with making all of there movie adaptations they seem to make the characters much weaker then in the comics. This i understand it makes it more believable but if he is more powerfull then the hulk then this could spell trouble for the Avengers movie, beings that they plan on all the Avengers teaming up to take down Hulky. So if any one else sees this as a problem then tell me what you think.
Sorry if this is already a discusion please lock it if it is.:bomb:

Well......he is a god......

Thor is supposed to be the "hammer" of the Avengers (no pun intended). He's supposed to be the muscle, the powerhouse, the one who delivers the final blow. That's kind of his role. He needs to be more powerful than the rest.

but if he is more powerfull then the hulk then this could spell trouble for the Avengers movie, beings that they plan on all the Avengers teaming up to take down Hulky.[/ QUOTE] Well, that was the point when The Man created him. I can see your point, but I'm doubtful that they'll base the entire movie on taking down the Hulk, and it shouldn't be that much of an issue, if the team isn't well coordinated at first, it might detract from Thor's raw power.

I do get that thor is a god but Hulk is still more powerfull then thor. And i also doubt that the climax of the film probly wont be the Hulk battle but the entire movie leading up to it will be about taking down Hulk. You make a good point that person

not more powerful just stronger.....if they show thor use all of his tools he can beat hulk.

hulk is not he enemy of avengers thats already been confirmed

One line of dialogue can fix that:

"My powers are weakened in this realm, in the fields of Asgard this troll would have fallen under my hammer long ago."

Still have him be super powerful but justify why "A God" has his hands full with earthly foes.

I think the real problem was the way the Hulk was portrayed in the last movie. his strength and powers were severely lowered for the adaptation and to me it was just all wrong. I never got the feeling that Hulk was completely unstoppable like I did with the first film from 2003. If you notice in the latest one, he no longer jumps great distances, no longer heals instantly from wounds, and just generally doesn't perform feats of unimaginable strength nor does he grow stronger the angrier he gets. All which were showcased in the 2003 film.

So if they just made Hulk a little more faithful, I would not really be worrying too much about how Thor would stand up to him. I think how it should work is Thor should initially be stronger and be cocky about how he wont have a problem dealing with Hulk, but then not be able to incapacitate him, thus shocking Thor and everyone else about how truly Strong Hulk is when a God can't even stop him.

I can see it now, the look on Thor's face when he realizes he cant stop Hulk. as well as the reaction of everyone else. It could be Epic.

The one thing I do not want to see in an Avengers film, is Thor looking like a punk in a battle against The Hulk.

While I liked the Hulk vs. Thor DVD and The Ultimate Avengers DVD, that's one complaint I had. They should show them evenly matched. Neither one can get the upper hand on the other.

You know the two have to square off in an Avengers film. That's inevitable. It should just be a bit more evenly matched than what is illustrated in Hulk vs. Thor DVD and The Ultimate Avengers DVD.

yeah but hulk took on all the avengers in the first ish of Avengers and pretty much was on top the whole time even against thor. Oh and There for I am Hulk does get stronger the angrier he gets in the newish movie his eyes stsart to glow abit and then he is stronger much closer to the comics then growing larger and larger and larger untill he is as tall as giant man. Oh and antmanx68 that actualy makes alot of sense
