When it comes to Wrestlemania 3, WWE always wants to talk about Hulk slamming Andre or Macho vs Steamboat, but they never mention Hillbilly Jim and two "midget partners" vs. King Kong Bundy and two "midget partners."

I was thinking about this earlier, although the quality of wrestling is better in ROH and New Japan, I do think that if New Japan thinks that they can compete with the WWE in America, that may be wishful thinking because as soon as New Japan announces that they are competing with the WWE using talent from ROH, the WWE will then announce the return of a certain "People's Champion" ahead of time.

If the WWE feels threatened by their dominance in America at any time, they will try their hardest to announce the return of the Rock ahead of time. He attracts the mainstream audience because of his massive success in Hollywood. He was one of the reasons that the WWE beat WCW.

New Japan/ROH will have the better product in-ring wise, but in regards to getting mainstream media in America, the WWE has them beat by a lot. The WWE can get Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor, two of the biggest names in the UFC and that will get them a lot of mainstream attention moreso that what New Japan/ROH can get in America.

When TNA tried to compete on Monday in 2010, with Hulk Hogan, the WWE countered with the return of Bret Hart or the first time since the Montreal Screwjob. People tuned in to see what Bret had to say and I believe Raw destroyed Impact that night.

Basically, the WWE can announce the Rock or even the return of Hulkamania if New Japan ever decides to hold an event in America to compete directly with WWE.

The key words here are "In America." In Japan, no doubt that New Japan is #1. In the States, even using ROH talent, New Japan would be second.

Emma and Paige really started the women's revolution thing on NXT with their championship feud. Both of them have now fallen by the wayside and have been over taken by the women that came through after them.

so I dont watch a lot of Total Divas, but I can admire Eva Marie hustling and flying herself to TV so she doesn't get left behind

I think she's useful to the WWE, I just don't know in what capacity (because she ain't much of a wrestler)

Sometimes, the natural talent isn't there. I credit Eva Marie for being proactive in getting better, from requesting coaching from Kendrick to doing whatever the company asks her to do so she is still in the conversation. But after all that, if this is as good as it's going to get for her, maybe WWE isn't the right job for her after all. I can practice my jump shot 12 hours a day for 5 years and I am still not going to be good enough to play in the NBA.

Plenty of Divas who "couldn't wrestle" became champion. Eva will be fine. At least, she gets a reaction unlike some of the women who won the belt.

Because Dwayne Johnson started out the same, as the smiling good guy. The fans told him to die and said he sucked. The WWE wanted the fans to like Dwayne, but the WWE Universe only started to like him after his major gimmick change. That will go down as one of the all time greatest gimmick changes in WWE history.
