Apocalypse X-Men: Apocalypse coming in 2016!

Best guess: Horsemen from the future, played by OT cast.

I don't even think there will be horsemen.

And why would the OT cast be the 4 horsemen? Are they gonna time-travel to the 80s just to cause chaos and destruction. They could do that in their own time period - the present.

Yea I agree that dosent make much sense it would be cool to see though. If they were horsemen im sure they would have been brought back against their will to follow Apocalypse.

Maybe he means swapping parts of AOA for other Apocalypse related stories?

That's exactly what I took from his comment. I don't think he literally meant swapping characters through time but swapping elements from AoA with other story elements that may work better.

Wonder if Singer is thinking of staying on for a while after these 2 films with the things he's putting in place. One thing at a time of course but a bit of forward planning can especially help with continuity issues and would be good for the security of the franchise.

Fox would be smart to lock him down soon rather than later. If they are serious about moving forward with their X-Men franchise they're going to need someone to oversee everything like Feige is doing with Marvel.

Agreed. Hopefully they get him and maybe someone like Vaughn to share the load if they're going to make a film every 2 years or so.

they grabbed vaughn to be a producer on fantastic 4, but who knows if he had any input on the project

At least they're maintaining their links with him long term. Could be the new dream team for the future of X-films. All they need now to reach the very top is to recruit Ratner :woot:

It looks like Singer has bailed on battlestar galactica remake for X-Men.

Let's remember after APocalypse he would have directed 4 X-Men films that's a record for Comic book film series. If the mystery 2018 film Is a X-Men/FF film he could be doing that since he did mention he had idea of marvel mash up

As long as Singer is getting what he wants, he's staying in the franchise. i also think he has learned that leaving X-Men 3 wasn't the best decision.

Matthew Vaughn, however, doesn't seem committed to franchises. One day, he'll do the movie, one day, he'll bail out.

I'm not surprised that Brian and (maybe Laura) want Gambit in an actual "X-Men" film. XMO was just a tease and by putting him in this film, it'll do his character justice. They can touch on his relationship w/Storm (if she's in this), his cheeky past(thieve's guild), essentially he'll be the "Wolverine" in this film because that's the 1 thing FC lacked; that rebel character and he'll fit the bill perfectly.

As far as the 4 horsemen go, I think Magneto, Mystique, + brotherhood characters will sub as the horsemen (ala XME). If Mr. Sinister is intro. I'll be shocked (maybe he'll be a horseman). but I suspect Magneto eventually turning on Apoc just like in the epi XTAS "beyond good/evil" w/him wanting to be the only superior mutant n earth, blah, blah...

hopefully for the human side they'll intro. a younger Sen. Kelly, friends of humanity, maybe Henry Gyrich since his small cameo in X1 was blink and you'll miss it

People need to read actual age of apocalypse comic storyline and stop relaying only on 1990's Animated show for their information.

Apocalypse had 4 horseman as his right hand there. Being horseman doesn't mean your brainwashed. In AoA Sinster Is a horseman because due to timeline being changed sinister never left Apocalypse. APocalypse was responable for creation of Sinster in Comics.

With them saying Apocalypse Is based somewhat on Age of APocalypse It better
to get more familar with it and less 1990's x-men animated show.

My suspecion Is Magneto will become a horseman. The Age of apocalypse was known for going into surprising directions for characters.

My suspecion Instead of Apocalypse ruling North America It will be Apocalypse and his mutant followers attack North America.

Magneto had the rebel role in FC

Gambit better be charming and speak some Cajun French!

Even the guy Rene from the first season of True Blood had the perfect Gambit voice and accent.

I think it makes all the sense in the world to use the OT as the horsemen. If its like the 12 storyline then Apoc would want the best people for his means and the OT are obviously more skilled than the FC versions. if we are to believe Rogue will be in apoc then it makes sense that she would become a horseman and if any of the other OT are to come back in any capacity it would also make sense What better way to make the younger versions of the Originals (cyc jean and storm than to fight themselves) . Cyc could come back as Apoc's horseman and sinister could be a horseman. There are so many options that could be chosen from I dont think any can be ruled out as of now :)

that logic only works if there are no mutants at all in the 80s or in history that Would be as powerful as the OT X-Men which probably won't be the case, even in the 60s you had teleporters, mutants who could create tornadoes, shaws powers

and it still doesn't answer why he would even take them from the future in first place

To me what doesn't make sense if they made them the horsemen of Apocalypse THEN travel back to the past just to wreck havoc.

If that happens, I would feel like they are shoe-horning the OT cast.

Based on what we currently know, I firmly believe that anyone who thinks the OT cast is going to have anything whatsoever to do with X-Men: Apocalypse is guilty of wishful thinking. Having said that, though, I don't believe that DoFP is the last time we will see the OT cast either in whole or in part; we just won't be seeing them in X:A.

As of right now inless Hugh jackman shows up In APocalypse they won't be In
Apocalypse. However we know Hugh will be In third wolverine solo film and you
can't rule out any other OT actors In that as well. However that also Is the mystery 2018 film.

with gambits involvement there is a big chance wolverine won't be there

i think there will be alot of characters in apocalypse though, DOFP alone has managed to fit over 13 mutants/characters and that doesn't count human characters like trask or the cameo mutants or smaller bit characters

I will concede that wolverine may not be In Apocalypse.

Some also need to accept Aocalypse will have fair share of mutant followers if they are taking elements from age of apocalypse. There may not be a brotherhood per say in film. Eather "Brotherhood" members with X-Men or them aligned with Apocalypse.

I was just wondering if this lawsuit against Singer...will it affect the production of X Men:Apocalypse?

Especially if it's going to be dragged on for many years....

The lawsuit may be a lie...but when there's smoke, there's fire.

I think the best thing for Fox to do is drop him. Use this opportunity to get new blood in there.
