Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

About Singer, i really don't understand the link between the relationship actors/director and the quality of movie. It's probabily true that Singer was unpleasant during his last 2 movies (whatever are the reason behind that), but there are a lot of example of bigger director very rude (Herzog for example). The only problem was that he was in/out of the set at a point.

.

Singers erratic history (non sexual) on film sets goes back over a decade.
This shouldn't be a surprise however as most creative artists do appear to act and behave dysfunctional when they are in "creative mode".

dude, gosh, come on that was clearly a joke...RELAX! xoxo!

message boards are really the death of civilizations...
Sometimes it's hard to read something as sarcasm or jokes on here. My mistake.

Yep, filmmakers like David O'Russel, Stanley Kubrick and, to a bigger extent, Michael Bay come to mind. I have a feeling that altercations on set are more common than we realize.

Don't excuse bad behaviour.
I mean, is she supposed to promote her movie by bad-mouthing the director?
Well the question was asked if she is two-faced. I didn't say it. I mean from your question you answered it too.
Obviously we have no idea how Dark Phoenix will perform critically or commercially but it sounds like the cast in general agrees that the production was easier now than on Apocalypse so I don’t see her saying the same thing regardless if it gets bad reviews. It’s not like Simon Kinberg has the same type of allegations against him as Bryan Singer. Sophie’s comments echo other people’s comments who have worked with Bryan so I don’t see what’s so shocking about them or how they have anything to do with this movie.
I really don't think there was any need to school me in how hollywood works. If anything you should talk to the people who believe Sophie's initial joy on working for Singer's Apocalypse and all the interviews she did where she compliments him and are now using the new Sophie Kinberg interviews as proof that he is perfect for the job. As if to say anything she states in an interview now will be ANYTHING BUT negative.
I wonder if DOFP's effects also benefited from the the extensive reshoots.
"Also" and "Extensive reshoots." LOL You're gonna get it trouble with your friends with that.

Or just like any human being with issues. Hollywood is just like any other field. People got issues no matter how smart or creative they are.

Favourite Villain?
"Magneto." "Magneto." "Magneto." "Magneto."

As if most of them know any other villain. Fassy only knew Apocalypse because he was in a movie with Apocalypse. It would be weird if he also said "Magneto." LOL

But that also comes with this illusion that she even has anything to belittle kinberg over.

You are hoping one day she will be say how bad it was to work with kinberg ect ect. but your logic was based on DP reviews... which would mean you was also suggesting her issue with Bryan was down to apocalypse reviews.

These are probably completely different things. well unless rami malek also said those things about Singer for the same reason.

Magneto is the best villain in comicbook movie history. No complains about that from me.

Terrible writer.

Relatively speaking, BoRhap also had its fair share of bad reviews. Bad example from you. LOL

I wished this ending from the animated show would inspire the ending of the X-Men movie franchise at Fox studies:

"I saw my X-Men grow and change..."

we could get a final glimpse of the original cast and get a proper ending for all movies.

That would be eXcellent!

Well yeah I agree that if she had similar negative experiences working with Kinberg, she wouldn’t express them while promoting this movie. I just didnt take her comments as now deciding to change her tune due to bad reviews.

If (when?) the movie gets bad reviews, who do you think she'll blame? Herself?

Or the writer/director/producer?

Magneto and X2 Stryker are great. Stryker in particular felt like an improvement over his comic book counterpart.

It's sad that that's off-topic in a forum about Dark Phoenix.

"Fais ce que tu voudras."
"Do whatever you want."

So fitting.

Does she have a history of doing that? Her comments about Singer had nothing to do with the movie being poorly received.
Come on don't be naive. "Nothing to do with the movie being poorly received?"

If that previous movie had gotten 90% RT score, you don't think she would think twice about trashing her experience?

I'm already sensing the thirst from Kinberg when he's no longer scripting a Marvel film! Even if he gets an EP credit, that doesn't mean anything.

Maybe Sony can hire him, lmao!

And of course he said a MCu character, instead of an actual X-Men character as if the reporter was asking about a cross over film.
