Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

You dont need 5, 6, 7 movies to build up to Dark Phoneix story. One set up movie is enough if executed properly. This idea that Infinity war was 10 years in the making and couldnt be any less therefore every major story should follow it is a misnomer. The only reason it took them 10 years is to introduce individual characters and infinity stones in seperate movies. And if they wanted to make Infinity War instead of Age of Ultron they could have by minimizing a lot of the excess unnecessary stuff. Dragging it out for 4- 5 more years didnt elevate anything quality wise , just the anticipation levels.

The Xmen are already a team, you dont need dozens of movies to do Dark Phoneix. If this movie sucks it wont be because theres not 7 different movies building up to it.

So from Kinberg's instagram pic inside a Montreal building dated August 31st we know that Dark Phoenix has moved from the original Production's MELS Studios to MTL Grandé for the reshoots.

Where was this info published? In an interview in mid-July with the CEO of Bureau du cinéma et de la télévision du Québec published by La Presse.

In that same interview, the CEO Pierre Moreau, has said the production had to make the move since the originally scheduled reshoots for Dark Phoenix have been expanded from 2 weeks to 3 months (another film had MELS Studio reserved).

That's the same interview the writers over Collider have unceremoniously dismissed as "Fake News." That's the same MANY OF YOU here have dismissed as "Fake News."

If we're keeping a count:
La Presse = 1
Collider = 0

The next few weeks should be interesting. Afterall Chastain is reportedly already done with her IT2 duties and is already in studio...

Any news on a trailer?
If a certain tweet is correct, we at least know they are working on a trailer since this person has seen a rough cut of it from a friend who cut together movie trailers and said it wasn't bad, including a shot "straight out of the comic" and a fire-bird shot. I am betting we will get a trailer sometime this month because it's the same length of time Apocalypse first trailer released. Or Fox may handle it like they're doing The Predator and debut it four months before release and in time for NYCC. Fox seem to be in the habit of releasing trailers closer to a film's release date for some of their movies lately, according to Trailer Track.

Again.... 2 weeks reshoots in 3 months!
We at least know it's not a three month span because it's September already and they haven't started filming yet. But according to Instagram, Alexandria Shipp's stunt double has now arrived and is said that filming starts tomorrow on the 5th.

Which tweet?

I really hope they release a trailer this month. We wait too long.

With Captain marvel dropping its first teaser and behind the scenes footage tomorrow, I think Dark Phoenix within the next 2 weeks is likely.

Where did you hear that about Captain Marvel icekid?

Brie Larson tweeted to EW asking if they want to break the internet tomorrow. They responded saying they have something Marvel-ous in mind at 9amET.

Photos don’t “break the internet”, footage and trailers do. Thor Ragnorok and Black Panther taught them a thing or two about that.

Are you threatening me, Master Fox?
The audience will decide your fate..
I AM The Audience!
Not yet..
It's treason then...
YARGGHH *920 corkscrew spin*

a big LOL if Captain Marvel releases their trailer before XMen, which is released before her movie :funny:

Disney sends cease and desist letters all the time. Calm down. Anyone trying to poison the well with misinformation should be stopped imo.

If the news was fake why would Fox care? If they are going after people (people who didn't even sign an NDA) over negative rumors about the film, its more likely those negative rumors are true.

probably they are doing this not to happen what happened to Deadpool 2, which was flooded with false statements, from people who said they had attended the test sessions and that the film was horrible, including some journalists said the movie was horrible according to their "sources".

Fox is so desperate trying to contain bad word of mouth.
they should have cared about a quality writer years ago on first place, so they wouldnt be worried about this now.
but they, for some reason, didnt recognize a bad writer even if he was in front of them. oh well.... maybe next time in a parallel world
