I think they will wait until after the Captain Marvel trailer before releasing the Dark Phoenix trailer.

Captain Marvel will be the big talking point online for a while so it's unwise to let that overshadow the Fox trailer.

I also think that Skulls will be removed from the Dark Phoenix movie and that these reshoots could possibly be adding more X-Men scenes into the film, as it's now become what's likely to be the last movie with this cast playing Storm, Nightcrawler, Cyclops etc.

I would be interested to hear what people said about the test screenings, what they thought was good and bad...

I wouldnt be surprised if they actually add more Charles-Chastain and Magneto scenes.
This is how Fox/Kinberg use to work.
I highly doubt more Cyclops/Storm is what Kinberg is focused right now.

Adding more scenes purely because it might be the last probably ain't likely as while alot of people jump to instant conclusions very easy about what the future will hold I'm gonna guess the mindset in making these FOX movies and tv shows isn't the same.

After all its still business as usual, not alrighty lets go out with a bang and start packing our things.

Having the Skrulls in this film was never a good idea. If this is a Fantastic Four film, okay then but for the X-Men in a Dark PhoeniX film??? It just shows how bad their decision making is.

Chastain, Fassbender, Lawrence, and McAvoy would get the most focus for the trailer... Not because of the characters that they are portraying but because the studio/Kinberg care more bout the actors than you know giving us an actual X-Men film. Sophia would get more screentime as well but I shouldn't be thankful for that since they could have done more with Jean in 19 years.

Well, we do know that Alexandra and Kodi are involved in the 'reshoots' (i.e. the major reworking of Act 3).

So it looks like there will be additional X-Men scenes in the movie...

But it more than likely won't be the focus of the film, as the studio/Kinberg clearly do not care about Storm, Nightcrawler, Cyclops etc from a character development / character arc standpoint...

One of the big questions is that if the Skrulls are removed, as seems highly likely, then what is replacing them? Different aliens? Genosha mutants?

The rest of the X-MEN may just be on the side of the X-MEN. there is some suggestion Kinberg wanted a civil war type situation over jean and so you need conflict but you also need to feel that there are enough people on each side.

Alien (the franchise) type creatures are more realistic, and it fits with Fox's catalogue much more.
and a more realistic approach is smarter for Simon Kinberg's debut. He shouldnt do something as generic as the Shi'Ar empire, movies are not comics, he cant addapt something like that. He had to do something more clever. And the Brood was the best choice. And he worked on The Martian, so he understands the genre perfectly and knows better how to make justice to the source material

Well they are doing Mo-Cap so presumably no matter how they looked it would cost around about the same to put together, but visually they could possibly stand out more alien if they reduce the human features perhaps.

But then that does depend on whether there were any other extra layers added to their appearance.

Although to do Mo-Cap id imagine there would be something to their features that couldn't be done easily with make up while also wanted to keep the actors performance in there
