Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

I said it then and I’ll say it again: Thank God Marvel has the rights back to Fantastic Four and X-Men.

So this will be the last time we ever have to go through something like this again.
What if Disney releases the New Mutants neXt year?

A similar thing happened with Hope Summers in the comics. According to @icekid it was explained in the cut he saw.

Seems like it was originally supposed to be explored further.

Well it actually wasn’t explained in the slightest in what I saw. At least now they say that she drew it to her, meaning Apocalypse was its call home. She is that power, it is her.

Singer was also attached as producer on Legion and Gifted despite not having much to do with it.
I wasn't talking about Singer and Singer didn't badmouth Legixn and the Gifted. But okay. Save our condolences to Simon Kinberg and Hutch Parker.

And I don't know you keep posting random pictures of Kinberg. I'm reading all the negative posts then boom, here's a big picture of the man of the hour. Keep those pictures in his own thread.
It's alright... Erik does some good too by posting some crazy tweets regarding Dark Phoenix. IE Donner's tweets. So I like his objectivity of it, even in the face of a bad movie release.

Such a ridiculous part of Hollywood. If LSD had zero to do with making these last 3 movies then I hope her damn name isn't in the credits. Especially hope she didn't collect a paycheck from it.

This all really went to the worst possible outcome for the franchise and it’s actually sad to watch. I’m always the type to keep a glimmer of hope and it just sucks for so many reasons. I really feel bad for Sophie because she delivered an incredible performance.

Sophie was already paid by the studio. She’s fine.

Lauren fought to keep the original cast

Source?

If Donner "had nothing to do with Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, or New Mutants" then the question is... when did she get removed from power? She used to be one of the top producers of the X-Men franchise (the only one left from the original trilogy). He had influence as recently as Days of Future Past and was always the one talking about the Gambit movie and fought for Deadpool before it got made. Did she get forced out? Did Kinberg push her out in terms of influence? Did she ever really have any power? What is the real story?

It's always fun to see the anti-MCU crowd adopt every new non-Disney blockbuster, no matter how bad it is. Those people just can't help themselves.

Like, at the moment I'm not even happy with the MCU, but at least I'm not going to defend the trash made by other studios just because it's not Marvel. That's pathetic.
