There’s a good cut of this movie somewhere because two people (1) a person who seems to know way too much about a production he has nothing to do with, and (2) a Fox employee with a twitter account?

Was Alessia a Fox employee? Because I asked to her about that and she said that she just managed to get in contact with one.

Is it so unbelievable that people like a given movie? BVS has its fans. Skwad has its fans. Heck, even on this thread, THIS MOVIE WITH THIS CUT HAS ITS FANS.

Fans love 'alternate' editions of any film, though.

Daredevil got an extended cut that was much improved.

The Rogue Cut of DoFP has its fans too. I like it.

There may not be another 'cut' existing for Dark Phoenix, but one could be created by extending some sections etc. It's preferable to a ton of deleted scenes in isolation on the Blu-ray, to be honest.

I love alternate treatments of movies, especially when they deserve more breathing space.

There's probably a better version of the movie out there AFTER frankensteining together various and/or better scenes of the movie. It's not to say it exists right now. If you told me there's a better version of Batman V Superman AFTER frankensteining together various and/or better scenes of the movie, I would probably believe you.

Both movies are so bottom of the barrel, there's nowhere to go but up. Unless of course Kinberg is so incompetent the deleted scenes he adds are even worst than what we got.

The deleted scenes section of the Blu Ray/DVD (if the DCD even has any) will be erm… interesting.

I remember going through the ones on the Last Stand DVD thinking they should've just left the scenes in the movie, the effects were clearly finished.

I wouldnt be surprised if Storm is as lucky as to get 2 more lines on the deleted scenes.

He's been a member here since 2004 (that's 12 years longer than you).....so, do you think that Kinberg is the master of the long game....and that he came here 15 years ago to set up positive press for this movie? Or are you doing what I have to keep telling you guys in here to stop doing - stop the griping about other members and keep your talk to the movies instead.

Dang, these “leaks” make me sad. Maybe the film still wouldn’t have been great, but it does sound a bit more fleshed out and a bit better. I wish they kept the Shi’ar and Lilandra in it.
Also wish they kept in more of the Scott and Jean scenes.

Maybe it is wishful thinking, but I do hope the film gets an alternate/extended cut one day. (And I’m not even someone who disliked this film)

You know who I noticed has visibly distanced himself from this movie? Hans Zimmer. To my knowledge he hasnt said jack and squat about this film or scoring it. In fact, if it werent for Kinberg letting it slip a year ago that he was scoring it i dont think anyone would've even known he was attached to the film until release.

To be fair, none of the other crew members have been heard from. Only Kinberg and Parker.

Though I guess there was that one Collider interview with Lee in his editing suite, the same interview Hutch Parker said he and Kinberg worked on X2...

TBH I would prefer a slow build, with a set up of those elements that didn’t solely serve its purpose with this particular storyline, but have been a culmination of characters from other adventures coming together to face one of their own. It’s like if the Captain America movies skipped over Winter Soldier and went straight to Civil War.

So now i get it. They were Skrulls, Kinberg was forced to change them for obvious reasons in post-production and so he went rummaging through Marvel’s obscure archives for the next best thing close to Skrulls.
