Please feel free to discuss any possible plot points in here whether they be current, or possibly outdated for the upcoming X-Men film.

Mystique dies
Quicksilver goes into a coma after hitting his head
The blonde woman wants Jean's Phoenix force, they both die in a fight
Jean saves the merry Mutants when the blonde woman attacks the train (climax)
Xavier leaves the X-Men and meets up with Magneto in Paris to play chess (again)
Ending mimics X2's final shot

Not mimicking X2’s final shot at all, but it’s supposed to be a “blink or you’ll miss it” shot since it’s in the distance. However, that may have changed since there’s two event twitter talk of an ending on Genosha.

Do we ever find out who the blonde woman is?

Is there any mention of the familial connections between Mystique & NC or Magneto and Quicksilver?

Are there still aliens in this movie? Apart from Chastain? In non-human form?

No to all the above. Unfortunately.

Is there an alien invasion, since they apparently cut the UN part? If so, do the aliens look human too?

What about Jean's relationship with Scott and the X-Men? Are there many? Is it meaningful and convincing (subjective, I know)?

There’s definitely an alien invasion, but it seems to be more implied than anything in the new cut. It’s shown (via Chastain’s character) that these aliens don’t naturally look human, but rather adopt the skin (literally) of humans. Because the aliens are government officials and seem to have some control over the Mutant Containment Unit, I’m assuming they’ve successfully infiltrated the government. I think it was probably much more evident in the original 3rd act, though. Icekid could clarify as he’s actually seen the film

Jean’s relationship with Scott sounds great to me. From what I’ve been told, they develop it well and it’s believable and substantial. He certainly has a more prominent role (both in the film and in his relationship with Jean) than the other X-Men, save for Xavier, Mystique and Beast (relative to their varying amounts of screen times.) Storm, Nightcrawler and Quicksilver just don’t get much to do outside of action. From the extensive details I’ve been given, Jean’s relationship with Cyclops is one of the highlights for me, especially since it was so very botched in the TLS. I also really dig how Jean’s actions affect her relationships with Xavier, Beast and Mystique in different ways. I wish Kurt and Storm had more to do, but, alas.

UGH!! Extremely frustrating that they STILL have no idea what to do with Storm other than use her as a special effects machine. They should be playing up her sisterly bond with Jean! How do they continue to fail at this.

From my source, I was told there's no chemistry between Sophie and Tye. Granted this was info from before reshoots.

They didn't have chemistry in Apocalypse so I don't doubt they have no chemistry again in Dark PhoeniX.

I remember, a long time ago, Daniel Cudmore implying he had a role in Dark Phoenix. Do you know something about that?

What about Lamar Johnson's role? We know he does basically nothing in the movie, but is he a known character?

I've seen Cudmore on our set (not Dark Phoenix) and he's had no problems with having no lines, wearing prosthetics or being in bodysuits or stilts so I wouldn't be surprised if he was a mute, CGI'ed alien-or-the-like character (if there are actually those in this movie). He's definitely showing his age. I used to think he was really hot back in X2 days.

I asked about him. They never saw him. Maybe he was in the original third act or else, like Endzone said, he could’ve played an unrecognizable, CGI/made-up, small/silent character.

Johnson’s character was just a student at Xavier’s. There didn’t seem to be anything that really distinguished him as a significant character from the comics. He has a line regarding Jean’s involvement in Mystique’s death which leads into the scene from the trailers where Cyclops tries to reason that she, Jean, can be helped post-funeral.

Thank you so much for this, sounds truly great.

My questions:

1- Do the X-Men wear their uniforms at the very end or in the middle of the movie?
2- Do the (remaining) X-Men fight together in the final battle?
3- Who leaves the team? I think 4 X-Men? Jean becomes Phoenix, Mystique dies, Quicksilver is wounded and Beast joins the Brotherhood? Right?
So there will be just a trio of X-Men at the very end?

1. No, the last time they wear them is at Jean’s house and that’s in the first act of the film.
2. Yep. Along with Magneto and his followers.
3. You’ve got that right. In the finale, the X-Men consist of Xavier, Cyclops, Storm and Nightcrawler and they fight along side of Magneto, Beast, Selene and Red Lotus. Jean comes in and saves them all. In the conclusion of the film, the team consists of Cyclops, Beast, Storm, Nightcrawler and Quicksilver with Xavier retired and Jean (sort of) dead.

1- Ah, too bad. It's okay anyway. This is an adult superhero movie.
2- Ah, okay. Hopefully Magneto, Selene and Red Lotus don't overshadow the X-Men? And Xavier is an X-Man this time?
3- Well, the team we see on "Deadpool 2", less or more.

1. Well, it makes sense in the context of the film because Beast takes the jet to get to Magneto. Xavier just wants to go with Cyclops to get Jean, but then have to rely on Kurt for transportation. Storm insists on coming, too. So, it was never planned to be an “X-Men team” thing, it’s kind of a spur-of-the-moment effort by Jean’s loved ones to go save her. I don’t think they were expecting to fight the Brotherhood and a bunch of aliens.
2. They don’t. Magneto is the only one of them that really stands out, mainly because he’s the last one standing in the fight against Chastain (the scene with all the guns) before Jean comes in. Selene dies, though. Well, Xavier’s kind of always an X-Man, right? Most of the time he’s not on the field, but he’s with them in the finale here.
3. Yep, I think the characters in the cameo were very much deliberately chosen to keep continuity (kind of funny, I know) with this film... despite the fact that they’ve not aged at all in the 25+ years in between. :o
