Days of Future Past X-Men: First Class Easter Egg & Reference Thread... (*SPOILERS*)

Hey, they're character actors. They get paid to show up and leave. :p A few of them probably showed up as a favor to Matthew Vaughn as a few of them I think also popped up in his other movies..

I gotta say, X-men FC made some scenes in X3 actually better.... and deeper (like mystiques depowering, and charles "death")

also... it's not hard to fix some continuity...

1) Moira (simply have the one in X3 be FC's daughter or grand daughter) she's named after her, and begins a close relationship with Charles.

2) In X3's opening scene, Xavier is lecturing Erik about "power corrupting" and Erik says something almost suggesting that he was evil at one time, and is now "rehabilitated" So Xavier and Magneto could easily have become close again in the 80s (they'd sort of have to be anyway to make there friendship seem as deep as it did in the trilogy). In the comics this also happened several times, Magneto has also lead the x-men several times.. (This would be interesting to see in a FC sequel)

3) during the "re-friending" Magneto helps charles (using his powers) build a new cerebro in the mansion sub-basement

4) during this "re-friending" magneto could also fashion a device to help charles walk (thus explaining X3 and XO wolverine

5) the XO cyclops cameo could still work (still doubt the baseball player was him.. he just wore glasses... they werent red)... so his (as well as storms) are sort of throw away cameos (sort of like Dani Moon Star, Colossus and Jubilee in X1)

6) Emma frost in XO was simply just named Emma... Kayla had the last name Silverfox, so one would assume Emma has the same last name... she also was not a telepath, and her diamond form was visually different then Emma's in FC.

The only thing that simply just truly doesn't fit, and can't be undone, is that in X1 Charles tells wolverine he met Erik when they were 17.

They could always go back to the DVD and redub Xaviers lines, instead of having say "when i was 17" they could have him say "when i was 23" or "after College"

As for beast, his looks could keep changing alittle between XMFC2 & XMFC3 due to more experiments, and look similar to his x3

Also they could always go back to X3 and redo the opening scene with young
jean.

they changed alot of stuff in star wars for their prequel, so why not change a few minor things as well. Of course not everyone was happy with alot of the changes to the star wars.

Can't believe no one has mentioned this yet,

When Hank is about to take Raven's blood, you see a plate of Twinkies underneath.

In the comics Beast loves him some Twinkies.

:awesome:

What was Rebecca Romijn's cameo?

When Mystique is lying in Magneto's bed he says "maybe if you were a little older". She then transforms into Rebecca and says "how about now?"

Oh wow, really? I didn't realize that was her. Very clever.

right here  i recognized him

Funny thing is I ran into him at a mall here in Vancouver (he's originally from here) and I mistakenly called him Jason Behr, his co-star in Roswell. I mean Brendan Fehr and Jason Behr are kind of inter-changeable. Right?:p:D

I recognized him too, well at first he seemed familiar, when I asked around everyone was saying that it was the guy from "Bones", but I don't watch "Bones", and it was then when I remembered "Roswell".

I didn't really know where to post this ....

Little Cyke & Storm

I'm pretty sure that was just a kid with glasses and Storm's mommy or just a white haired mutant, after all they weren't 50 in X1. Generally speaking, XMFC's continuity fits in with X1-3/OW when you accept what the comics already teach you: That Charles is a liar and wasn't 17 when he met Magneto. :yay:

Storm's mom didn't have white hair and they wouldn't stick a random black girl with white hair if they didn't intend for it to be Storm. The glasses kid matches up with Cyclops pretty well aside from the red glasses, and Xavier is the one that gave those to him (who he hasn't met yet in the films). Sticking regular sunglasses is an easy way to tip off audiences anyway just like Storm's white hair. And Charles lying about meeting Magneto when he was 17 would be pretty pointless.

^LOL not only did she not have white hair, she's not even a mutant. A lot of ppl have problems with that being little Scott Summers, but as you can see Havok (who is really YOUNGER than Cyclops) aka Alex Summers is in this movie in his Ultimate storyline would make Scott apprx. 5 years younger and that fits perfectly to what that kid with black sunglasses looks like.

Yeah, those are totally supposed to be Cyclops and Storm. Don't think too hard about the continuity of things right now.

Humans don't clone themselves as a means of reproduction and neither do mutants, so honestly having a sunglassed (they kind of do look red) kid wearing BLUE and YELLOW (Cyclops' colors) and having a white haired black girl are pretty hefty coincidences. Especially considering the people making the movie casted and dressed those people that way for a reason. Sure, it could've just been some last minute thought, but if they honestly wanted air-tight continuity they wouldn't have done it. It also reads into Singer's comments about "taking some liberties" with Scott and Alex considering the suggested age disparity between them.

You guys have to stop taking these cameos seriously. They're just there so you can look for them.

Good lord, Logan was effin' hilarious.

Erik: "Excuse me, I'm Erik Lensherr."

Charles: "Charles Xavier."

Logan: "Go f**k yourselves."

:lmao:

It never really occurred to me before, but Sebastian Shaw's plan in this movie is essentially the same as Magneto's plan in X-Men. The only real difference is that the former involved killing all of the humans by nuclear apocalypse, and the latter involved just turning the humans into more mutants.

Maybe Magneto took Shaw's idea and re-purposed it?

Saw the movie for DVD earlier tonight and loved the funny interactions with the X-team but what's so special about Micheal Ironside and James Remar being U.S. Navy military leaders? Plus I think Ray Wise was the fictional vice president or something in the movie?

What's so great about them showing up in the movie anyway?

I also just saw this movie the other night on Blu Ray. It's kind of fun to go back after the fact and read about some of these cameos.

I totally missed that the "older" Raven was actually Rebecca. Pretty cool.
