Days of Future Past X-Men: First Class filming thread: News, reports, images etc.

yes, the interviews would have been better one week before.

And release a still from the movie, instead of a full cast pic.

If this isn't an officially released photo, I'm definitely not going to criticise things like tone, photoshopping skills etc, this would be considered a quick test or trial pic to see what direction they're going to go for the official jobbies.

Looking purely at costumes, seems pretty good imo, though Azazel's outfit (what we see of it) looks very similar to Magneto's modern one (this was mentioned earlier).

Overall, just looking at the outfits and characters (mainly Xavier and Magneto), I'm happy so far.

yes, I really like the costumes.

They dont look from some random tv series. The quality of the material they used for them can be noticed.

Good job from the costume designer!!

Fox: First point! :woot:

Final decision? You gotta be ****ting me.....One picture determs whether you see this movie or will like it?

You guys are the worst fans of any fanbase, i have been on a ton of websites and none are act as much like a bunch of teenage girls like you guys.

Excuse me I wasn't talking about whether or not I was going to see the movie, I was talking about my decision on THIS PICTURE. Meaning I wont be critical about this project based on this image because I can tell its unfinished.

Take an extra few minutes next time and read a post properly before going off on a rant.

Well I guess if you like it you like it. To me there is a history with the first class in the comics that is lost if you just put a bunch of random character sin the mix. I ean the there have been many different people on different X-men teams, but the first team is different and feeds into the history. Also atleast try and get some known characters is all I am saying, but hey you likel you like.

Oh a Singer does not mean good movie. The other 2 where kinda watered down and Superman returned was not so great.

hhmmmmmmmm........not really feeling the new image.

it looks incredibly corny as h***.

Can Emma wear an actual costume? This is shameless.

Movie itself I'm hopeful for. This picture is just hideously photoshopped.

You're really good at pimping your site.

X-Men: Hipsters

lol. These images were probably released because of the outcry by fans over how s***ty that banner image was. Love these though.

im really liking the costumes, not sure if I like the banner but I'm hopeful

I absolutely love those three pictures. I love the 60's and its whole style. This just oozes it so I love it.

All three are great in their own ways. I get chills when I see thast chess pic. It brings me back to Singer's films, as those are some of the best scenes in them.

And January Jones. Goddamn!

lol Kevin Bacon

Exactly. The chess scene was iconic, and I was certain First Class would take us back to that moment.
It's a great picture! :awesome:

As if some of us here at Heat Vision don't already spend enough time fantasizing about becoming superheroes or working on the productions of our favorite comics adaptations, here's a fun little anecdote from the set of X-Men: First Class.

Winter's Bone star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the blue-bodied Mystique in the Fox prequel, spent nearly half of the five-month shoot in London and Georgia enduring an irritating diet, two-hour daily workouts and eight hours in full-body makeup per day.

That's right, for eight hours every day for months the beautiful Lawrence had a coterie of seven girls “all up in [my] business," as she puts it.

"Nothing’s sacred anymore," Lawrence says. "Those girls and I got so close. They were painting me naked every day for months. It was kind of like going to a really bizarre sleepover."

Funny, that's exactly how many of us picture female-only slumber parties.
Right. "It’s what you guys imagine we do: One naked girl and seven pairs of hands all over her,” she mocks.

As it turns out, the studio has options on Lawrence for two sequels, so if First Class does well, she could head "back to the paint" and her tight-knit crew. In the meantime, post-shoot she was psyched not only to get her own skin back, but to ditch the diet, as well, when she got back home to Kentucky and some cherished home cooking.

"It was awful, I was hungry for five months," says Lawrence, who felt herself bulking up and getting weirdly aggressive during the shoot. “I’m still pissed about it. I’m slowly working my way back because I have to be able to eat like an *******."

Movie stills look really great. Teaser poster is really great. But ugh that ensemble photoshop is still really awful.

No offense, just curious why does this keep getting posted over and over :-]?

It's cool and I like it, just wondering why it keeps getting posted?

Whoa that poster is awesome.

Fox I don't understand you. Why such an amazing poster but such lame promo shot of the X-Men?
