Great job JP!

Might as well upload these. Some pencil caricatures that I've drawn a couple years ago.

Not a Manip but i think this would be a great look for how the Sentinels should look like in the movie

I really really hope there are sentinals in the movie. Ever since I saw them in the cartoon show as a kid I wanted to see them done properly.

Thanks JP :yay:

@DCW Mark Millar pretty much confirmed that there will be Sentinels in this one. I know Millar is known to exaggerate but he knows this is one instance where he can't hide from a quote of his.

Here's what Millar told SFX Magazine:

"...going for a big sci-fi style thing with X-Men: Days of Future Past. It's X-Men meets The Terminator. You've got robots, you've got time travel, you've got superheroes - it's got everything in one film."

i wonder if it will be the big sentinels or the smaller nimrod kind

with Pacific Rim on 2013 and Transformers 4 on 2014, Singer and Fox better bring something HUGE and epic.

if not the the other blockbusters will look bigger and better than this sequel

Big doesn't always equal great. It's about what you do with your characters that affects how the movie is looked upon by the movie geeks.

Transformers might have all these giant robots but they're indistinguishable from each other and what little personality they gave them, it was bad stereotyping. Transformers might be described as epic in scope but I'd rather they work on the whole thing coming together as a movie. Michael Bay's Transformers series of movies is definitely not what I would hope Singer et al are aiming for.

If smaller (than comics) sentinels work better then so be it.

Singer isn't opposed to bigger Sentinels I dont think it was mostly budget that had him minimize them in X2 then eventually drop them all together.

I do hope they work on that X2 Sentinel design though. That was a very weak concept art, about as bad as The Beast concept with Big Foot arms (from X-men or was it X2?), but there's a reason it was only concept and was never seen on-screen, so I'm sure they are constantly improving on the look.

Yeah, I'm not fond of the 'slinky egg' Sentinal concept from X2 either.

A bit too Star Wars for my liking.

I knew it reminded me of something lol :woot:

That being said I do love the homage, it's so appropriate since Bryan Singer is a huge Star Wars fan.

Love it Ang! :cwink:

glad u like it, I love the homage too, it gives the Xmen a more iconic vibe

The font of xmen movies to date have been nice, but I think they should step their game up and create the ultimate xmen font, so it would become iconic once they use it a few more times

I think they have tried to experiment around with it but ultimately they go back to the standard. I've come to expect X-MEN to always have the chiseled metallic font. I think if they stepped out of it then it would look weird to me.

But I definitely hear you about them upping the game. Maybe they will for DOFP because it seems like a new era of movies will move forward.

glad u like it! :D

I want to try another one in the upcoming weeks

It would be nice to see one with all the characters with their past versions next to them.

my first attempt at a teaser poster:

Angamb that looks really good. Like others said I love the font and the scratches from the claws was a nice touch. I would imagine though that DOFP would have to posters one for the future and one for the past. This one would be great for a future one because I believe it manages two capture the tone of that part of the story, bleak, gritty, rough. Doesn't really work for the past though but I love this manip!

yeah, this fits the future timeline more than the whole sequel. So agree with the two teasers idea. would be great if Fox did that

and now that you say it, maybe I'll try the 60's version :D
