Days of Future Past X-Men Origins: First Class--Post Your Casting Choices Here

Is anyone opposed to Cannon being in the film? I dont know I just always thought that his powers would look cool on screen
Cannonball? I think that could work. I really like the character, so I wouldn't mind if he was in the movie. Inserting a New Mutants character into a First Class franchise would be interesting. I think it would almost work if they changed his personality to be the prankster Bobby was in the comics. Keep him from the south, and make him take Iceman's role. I think a lot of fans might not like that, but I'm OK with it.

Well, with Hugh Jackman unlikely to be in, we need someone else to bring in the musical-ness to the movie. My solution? Zac Efron as Cyclops!! :D

I think Ewan McGregor should be Young Magneto. If you look at it he and Ian have similar faces and I think Ewan could do it.

Definitely need Mister Sinister in this. Somebody on here said Daniel Craig for the role--- I see more Jason Isaacs or Jonathan Rhys-Meyers for the role.

Storm- Zoe Saldana
Jean- Kristen Stewart (I'm not a "Twilight" fan but she is the closest to looking like Famke.)
Xavier- Terry O'Quinn I could see as a young Professor X though I doubt they'd recast because Patrick Stewart was born to play the role.
Cyclops- Scott Porter or Jensen Ackles
Beast- CGI character I'd bring Kelsey back to voice him but if they decide to go younger than I'd go with Kevin McKidd.
Emma Frost- Tricia Helfer or Maggie Grace

^If Famke was a cardboard crackhead!

Terry O'Quinn doesn't make much sense when casting a younger Xavier seeing as he's only like 10 years younger then Patrick Stewart. Might as well just de-age Stewart.

Ewan McGregor could be a good young Magneto, though.

We're not really thinking young enough here.....Joseph Gordon Levitt is just about as old now, as Marsden was in X-Men.

Marsden was 27 in 2000 when X-Men was released, Levitt is already 29 and the film is still a few years away.

This is their high school years, not three years before the events of the first flick.

talk of Twilight actors I dont think that Robert PAttison would be a bad Quicksilver

Looks wise, maybe, but the kid is too.......slow. He just doesn't have that wit to him, he's pretty flat and boring. Pietro needs to be energetic, Pattinson can't pull that off...he's far too melancholy.

This is a really exciting thread and I can't wait to post my thoughts on casting but for now I'll just subscrive. I do want to see Jean, Scott, Hank, Ororo, Charles, Magneto and Emma to shake things up

I don't honestly know who I would want cast yet because I don't have enough information on where the movie is going.

Some of these choices are a bit old. I was thinking more teenage cast members.

They need kids. Most of the popular choices mentioned here are approaching their primes.

Start watching Disney and Nick if you want your future actors. We are still a couple of years away from filming. Yesterday's Twilight actors my be tomorrow's X-Men

the guy who played young cyclops was 24 they dont have to be that young

I'm not exactly sure how old Beast is supposed to be in The Last Stand, but Kelsey Grammer is certainly older than the rest of the cast. If they keep Grammer's age in mind, I wonder if Singer will revisit the notion of casting Steve Bacic as Beast or if they will go with someone entirely different. As much as I like Grammer as the voice of Beast, he isn't physically right for the role at all in a prequel.

I've never thought of Patrick Wilson for Beast, although he could be an interesting choice. I've heard his name tossed around for a younger Xavier though.

Cyclops- Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl)
apennbadgleypicture.jpg

Jean Grey- Imogen Poots (28 weeks later, V for Vendetta)

Beast- Tyler Labine (Reaper, Antitrust)

Emma Frost- Dianna Agron (Glee, Veronica Mars)

Storm- Dana Davis (Heroes)

Colussus- Kellan Lutz (Twilight)

and keep Patrick Stewert and Ian Mckellan in their brilliant roles.

how many good teen age actors do we really know LOL

We don't. That's why I think they will do a big casting call for unknown teenagers or those that aren't well known. They need to be quite young as Lauren Shulder Donner said the intention was to see them grow up over the course of the movies.

They could easily just hire Disney teens if they wanted well known actors. Miley Cyrus as Jean Grey anyone? :funny:

Emma Frost - Charlize Theron

Cyclops - Scott Porter

Jon Favreau (from Iron Man) for Beast.

Anna Kendrick (from Up in the Air) for Jean Grey.

Anton Yelchin (from Terminator Salvation) for Cyclops.

I don't know about Yelchin for Cyclops, but he would be a good choice for this film. Maybe for Havok.

Charlize would be perfect for X4.

but for this prequel they should sign a young actress, around the same age as Jean, or a bit older, but not too much.
