X 3 was AMAZING.
much like the poster above, I've been reading X Men for 24 years and I've only one thing to say; if you like X Men the comic, read the comic. If you've enjoyed X Men the movies, you will LOVE 3.
X Men FAILS as adaptations and translations. As movies they excel using Characters we know and love and putting them in similiar scenarios. They are not the books. It's no Sin City. It's X Men and if you've found yourself thinking that X1 was good but never dropped, X2 had soul and feeling then you will believe that X 3 is the hammer that drops, the gear shifting into 5th and delivering.
The pacing is fantastic and it moves like a rollercoaster first going up, then speeding down to an awesome climax.
Pay little attention to thos who post and say things like:
'It's too short'
'no character development'
or my personal fav: "There was no explaination no depth all explosions and they left the X-men storylines which have been around for ages and created a BRAND NEW storyline of their own"
BROTHERS - this isn't the COMIC. DO I need to retype that? I'll school and reschool afterwards quoting issues and pages from the books. I can do pretty well quoting the films, which are different that the books. As a third film X 3 excels.
