Okay, from a female perspective, vis-a-vis the "Craig is too ugly for Bond" remarks. Handsome in Bond's case primarily refers to his reputation as a ladies' man, and I can tell you now that Craig has all the rugged masculine physical attributes needed to easily make himself appear handsome to most women. Sure, I thought he didn't have the most attractive mug when I first saw the trailer, but his killer bod seriously overcompensated for that factor...good thing they showed that beach shot, because hot's hot, people, and Craig is on FIRE. He's also hotter as a blonde than he'd be with darker hair. Combine that with the body language and the no bull**** ass-kicking, and then like magic, you start seeing the magnetic, handsome stoicism in his face that you "missed" before. And that's all before he's barely said a few words. Female perception of a guy's looks can be strongly manipulated by the way a guy acts (and just because a woman realizes it doesn't make it any less effective), and if he can exude dangerous charm, it'll be that much easier for him. Ugly becomes cool or cute and desirable in an instant, whereas it seems more men tend to be black-and-white in terms of what they consider visually attractive. All in all, if Craig doesn't succeed as Bond, "ugliness" will not even be a minor deciding factor in his case.
