Your Favorite Closing Shots

Indiana Jones 3: I love how the Joneses rided off into the sunset.
The Empire Strikes Back: One of my all-time favorite parting shots. We see Lando & Chewie taking off in the Falcon to find Han, then we see both Luke & Leia (with a worried look on her face) in the medical frigate pulling away, in that awesome John Williams score...it's indescriptable.
Inception: The top spinning, and then...?
Iron Man: I just love Robert Downey Jr. saying the words "I am Iron Man", and the reporters rose in their seats (except for that sexy reporter whom he had fling with). It was the perfect ending imo.
TDK: Batman riding off in his bike, and that voiceover to close out the movie was very fitting and appropriate.
Casino Royale: Bond standing over Mr. White, with that gun in his hand. Sheer badass. Too bad QoS was a bit of a letdown.

That depends on how well it's done.

Well, they've already showed us some glimpses of it in the trailer, and from what I've seen, I really like it. Based on that, and the descriptions from the screening, I think I'll be satisfied, however, I don't want to build myself up with high expectations.

I'll mention a few that I haven't seen anyone put down yet.

Aliens - Ripley at peace with her "daughter"

Superman '78 - I thought this one would have been obvious.

The Omen - Damien smiling at the camera.

The Hidden - I could never tell if the little girl realizes her father has been taken over by an alien.

The Lost World Jurassic Park- The final shot of all the dinosaurs on the island.

Star Trek 09-The "new" Enterprise warping into it's next adventure.

Back to the Future Part 2- "I'm back from the future" then zooming out.

Toy Story 3- The shot of real clouds that look like Andy's wallpaper from the opening shot of Toy Story 1.

I once knew a man call Tool.

To me was the epitome of cool.

He was good with a knife.

Bad with a wife.

But to think he could beat me.

Dreamin' he'd defeat me.

Cool Tool you gotta be a fool.

Oh yeah.

Gangs of New York's ending is definitely one of my favorites, and Planet of the apes is just awesome because of its wtfness lol

Heat
Jaws
Planet of The Apes
French Connection 1 & II
Dirty Harry
The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly
Batman Returns
Evil Dead 2
Evil Dead
Darkman
Raiders of The Lost Ark
Halloween
The Shining
Casino Royale
The Thing
Escape From New York
Dawn Of The Dead (2004)

Oooo I forgot about Planet of the Apes (1968) that would rank up there for me as well.

"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads!" - Back to the Future :woot:

The Incredible Hulk came so close. If only they'd moved Robert Downey Jr.'s cameo to after the credits and left it ending with Norton's glowing green eyes.

Reservoir Dogs is one of my favorite I don't recall seeing listed.

Oh, I liked Equilibrium's close-up of a smile growing on Bale's face as well.

Because they knew Tony Stark/Iron Man was the next big thing, so cross promoting him into the movie and a TV spot was a smart marketing decision. Gets people buzzed and anticipating future movies.

Yeah but marketing him in the commercials isn't the problem. They could've switched the two scenes and the marketing would've been the same.

I think that would have felt out of order. Sure, seeing Bruce with green eyes would have been a nice send off, but you can't top Tony Stark coming in out of nowhere and implying that he and the Hulk will team up at some point. That's the more exciting ending.

It would be the more exciting ending had Iron Man not already established all the guys would be getting together.
