BvS Zach Snyder plans to speak with Frank Miller for MoS Sequel

I'd like if Snyder would talk to John Byrne as well.

Definitely. It sadly doesn't look like it will be happening. :csad:

This is the thing that annoys me about DC/WB. They have all the resources available at their side, even more than Marvel/Fox/Sony, and yet they're the ones that keep screwing up the most.

Tell that to Marvel fans unhappy with IM3, Whedon using Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Tony Stark creating Ultron instead of Hank Pym, etc... and Fox is the #1 target of haters, WB is not there yet.

WB's problem is that it doesn't trust its characters nor its filmmakers while Marvel does take chances by hiring pretty much unknown directors to helm important projects.

oddly enough, brynes superman origin was the most convoluted.

Yeah suppose it was but I think just he way he drew him, that's always been my image of Superman. Thankfully they found someone who matches that quite closely with Henry Cavill.

Exactly!!

Does Snyder even know whats he's doing, perhaps he should pass this project on to someone else.

The problem is Warner and DC Comics, they don't even know yet if the tv series Arrow and Flash will be part of the same universe or not, while Marvel has a clear, coherent plan for the next few years.

Exactly  you think films like Batman & Robin and Green Lantern that they heavily got involved in or even situations like trusting Nolan would make them realise that they should keep their noses out.

Fair point, they are a bit all over the place at the moment. Snyder is maybe just caught in the middle of it all.

Let's be honest here, in just about every form of Batman in the media nowadays comes from Frank Miller's Batman.

Batman 89, Batman Returns, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Batman: The Animated Series, The Batman, Beware The Batman, Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Earth One, and so much more.

Ever Batman nowadays is inspired by the Batman in Batman Year One in some form. Comics, cartoons, movies.

Frank Miller is the Godfather of Batman. Now I hope Zack doesn't just talk them him and doesn't talk to him about Superman but I do feel talking to Frank Miller about Batman is a must.

Zack won't just talk to Frank. I believe Johns and Morrison said Goyer or Zack talked to them.

The problem is that Frank Miller is not who he used to be. He went from being one of the best comic book writers to one of the worst. Asking today's Frank Miller for advice on anything Batman/Superman related is a big no-no. If Snyder and Goyer traveled back in time to the 80's or early 90's, that would be an entirely different story.

i do not get why they are talking to Miller. He should be so low on the list of people they do want to talk to, and not just for the fact that his writing has gotten really bad but because he has written these characters in years. and the last time the only thing he added to the batman mythos was a stupid catchphrase. and the less said about his superman the better(even if i did like his design).

But he wrote his two good Batman stores in the 80s since then he's done horrible work like The Dark Knight Strikes Again and All Star Batman & Robin. Not to mention DC wouldn't let him make the god awful Holy Terror as a Batman book.

I also don't agree that Miller is the godfather of Batman. All he did was return him to his darker roots and add controversy to the stories.

I agree but at the same time it isn't wrong to ask him.

I honestly really do think Snyder will talk to Bruce Timm. Both Snyder/Goyer has worked with Timm and Timm is working on a Superman short with Snyder currently.

No doubt Snyder will talk to Timm.

Exactly, some here are overreacting too much, Miller is not writing the script, there's nothing wrong in talking to him, Snyder is a geek afterall, he would talk to Alan Moore if he could!!

If only he could:up:

TLK parody based on current events.

Snyder: Miller, you have forgotten Bruce.
Miller: What!No! How could I?!

Snyder: You have forgotten who you are, and so have forgotten the character. Look inside yourself, Frank. You are more than what you have become. You must take your place in the DC universe.
Miller: How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be.
Snyder: Remember who you are. You are my mentor, and a once great author!
Snyder: Remember who you are. (vanishes)

Goyer: What was THAT? (laughs) The writing *blows rasperry* Very peculiar. Don't you think?
Miller: Looks like the scripts are changing.
Goyer: I should hope so.
Miller/Goyer, in unison: You're one to talk!

(Hits Frank with a stick) : Oww! Jeez-- What was that for?
Goyer: Making Superman a stooge, and making Batman talk to his car.

:D
