Whoa!!! So it will be on DVD as well as Blu-ray’s ?!!!

So it will be on 2 discs DVD to fit the movie??

Or are DVDs advance now to fit a 4 hour movie??

Or we will get a 3 hour movie cut on a DVD like Endgame??!!

Hmmmm lol
Two 4K discs are needed for this (plus some special features)

Where I live, we're getting it only in 4K format, no Bluray, no DVD.

I had to look up who you're talking about and he seems to be one of those really in denial fans.

Scoopers gonna scoop I guess.
I mean those type of dudes have their place for filling a few minutes at lunch time or after work with the crazy stuff they come up with, but that's all it is.

It's the one thing I appreciate the MCU for above all else; it's often the speculation as opposed to the end result that gives such excitement. You never really get the same excitement speculating with the DCEU.

I just saw that HBO Max Trilogy Trailer and it's really well cut. It also reminds me that while ZSJL is is a great standalone movie, it doesn't fit in with MOS/BVS, imo - those movies have so much to do with the world's reception to Superman, and we don't see that at all in ZSJL. We don't see any consequences of a world without Superman and the world doesn't have a clue that Steppenwolf is about to destroy it.

But really it's all Batman that forms the Justice League. It makes great trailer edits to include Jor-El "In time they will join you in the sun, in time they will help you accomplish wonders" but it doesn't actually happen that way in ZSJL....at all. It's actually the other way around lol. Superman joins them in the sun and it's Superman that helps them accomplish wonders.

It's odd that ZSJL is a continuation of Zack Snyder's previous two entries in the franchise. It doesn't feel like it at all.

I think ZSJL does tie in to the previous films in terms of the world's reaction to Superman.
The League themselves are a testament to Superman's legacy, the dream made flesh.
In MOS Clark is afraid to reveal himself to the world, fearing humanity isn't ready. That he'll be rejected.
In BVS, Clark is scrutinized and attacked by humanity, resulting in his death.
But in ZSJL, humanity has finally come to fully accept him, we focus on a group of people who are inspired by him, seek to emulate him and even bring him back from the dead.
In ZSJL humanity actively chooses to bring Superman back, ending the question of whether he or not this is his world.
ZSJL is all about the consequences of Superman, the invasion is caused by his absence and the League is formed because of his example.

ZSJL feel far remvoed from the socity at large. There was an alien invasion going on but the world just kept on chugging like nothing had happened. Superman came back to life and nothing. no news coverage. the movie just didnt have enough weight IMO. i still liked the movie just cant love it.

that is true.
like how bvs devoted a significant chunk of the movie to how society, the news media, and the government was responding to superman's presence.
but we don't get any of that in zsjl.

i think snyder and terrio wanted to just focus on the league's mission at hand.
just wish we got some of those threads from bvs continued though.

I wish had seen maybe just an ending mention of it. This was about each member of the league and their individual lives though

And yet i think ZSJL was very successful in making the threat and invasion feel epic and world spanning. From the opening prologue you get a feel that something big s about the happen. That weight was non existant in the Whedon cut.

yup.

for every misstep zsjl makes in my book, it gets like 10 other things right. really right.
almost a month later, and i'm still thinking about the movie.

i didnt feel the weight of what was happening. only cyborg made me feel anything. they did great work with his story. the for me i always like seeing hero's save people, then fight the bad guy that's just a personal thing.

Based on the outline we saw for the full five movie arc, i doubt we would have gotten answers to things like how the world reacts to superman being alive again, the justice league .

things go straight into the knight mare and then the saved the world.

that been said im gald ZS was back to his best when it comes to action. only the warehouse scene had great action in both MoS and BvS.

I feel like I’m the only one who loves the Doomsday fight in BvS. I felt like Zack was really firing on all cylinders there. It was just too short. But thats just me.
The Smallville sequence is still on the top for me by a significant margin.

On-location photography is unparalleled (primarily the geography and lighting), and it's going to horribly date all his other green screen sequences as a result.

#restorethesnyderverse on amazon then.

real life bald lex luthor can fund the justice league.

'Lord of the Ring' Series to Cost $465 Million for One Season - Variety

Amazon, where u at for these ZSJL sequels? :o

Jokes aside, this is crazy. I still dont think big budget sequels for this thing are on the table but these streaming services are making huge monetary moves on a lot of properties lately.

I am hoping for a more adventure and fantasy while having it be less of a battle action war movie that Christopher Tolkein would be more proud of. This budget gets my hopes up they can maybe pull this off. I still think an anthology show would be nice to see too like from parts of Silmarillion or Untold tales if this is a success.

JLA boxset in Japan featuring Geoff Johnson comic is yet another indication WB may have some sourness and strained relations with creative talent that keeps prompting little bits of pushback even when not dictated by financial or marketing concerns as the movie is of course finished and already released twice over.

Therefore, a massive endeavor like they're doing with the Lantern series has me skeptical about how good it will be even if it is streaming based OTT.

A Snyderverse series is the thing most would want to see so it is too bad WB can't smooth things over with the creative talent.

That’s insane

Though not as crazy as Netflix forking over $400 million to Rian Johnson for Knives Out sequels. They’re not even giant blockbusters like Lord of the Rings, Avengers, Transformers, etc.

Aside from maintaining total accuracy for the one or two fans who actually want to see four episodes set at Tom Bombadil's place, what is even the point of the new LOTR series. The film trilogy was damn near perfect.

I was going to ask this. Is this some kind of prequel or something? Peter Jackson made one of the best trilogies of all time. I guess bald Bezoz wants his own version. lol

I read that he renewed some series cause his nephew wanted a new season.
