Zatanna new ongoing series.

YAY!

About damn time. Can't wait for this. Shame, that Dini will be pulled away from Sirens though. :(

Well, how many "hot chick" books can he be expected to write at any one time?

I don't know, as many as he can I suppose. I wasn't aware he was leaving Sirens, though.

I just assumed he would be, so much talk of him leaving Streets of Gotham and Sirens earlier in the thread.

Well, he's had fill-ins lately, but I don't think anyone knows if he's leaving either for sure. If he does leave one, though, I hope it's Sirens. 'Cause, you know, I actually read Streets of Gotham. :csad:

Heh, I read Streets for a the first few issues but it just bored me and I had to cut down on the Bat books, just too many of them right now.

I agree, that's why I cut it all down to just Streets. It was the only one that interested me. Although I do admit that the Manhunter back-ups are actually better than the main Batman/Gotham stories pretty often.

I'm only reading Batman and Robin and Gotham City Sirens. I gave Batgirl (despite hating Stephanie Brown) a try. I gave Red Robin a try (and it's okay, but I'd rather have Tim as Robin), but I just cut it down to those two, cause those were the ones I enjoyed the most.

I read Detective (easily the best of the bunch), Batman and Robin, and Streets of Gotham when Dini is writing it (so basically half a year's worth of issues)

I want to read Detective and like it, but the art is terrible and makes the stories confusing.

That's not the first person I've seen say that William's art is confusing. I never felt that way. There is occasions when it's not doing standard left to right pages, but I never felt confused or lost when reading his stuff. I always thought it felt really dynamic and alive. Now that Jock took over the book, and basically gone back to the standard stuff; it kind of feels rather boring.

Ah, someone else is on the book now? See, I'll give it a second chance, but I hear that Batwoman's gonna be off the book soon anyways and that was the only reason I was giving it a chance in the first place. Well, that and Rucka.

David Hine is doing 2 issues. We'll see in June comics whos gonna become a monthly writer and so forth. Question backup story will stay in Dec comics even when Batwoman moves to her own title.

Pffft, Jock is another great artist, I've always loved his art from Losers, and I think Rucka changes the tone of his story to match Jock's style. I think it looks quite good.

But yeah, JustABill is bat**** crazy:cmad:

His art is alright, but I was more talking about his use of panels, transitions, etc. Comapred to Williams use of the medium, Jock's seems kind of boring to me. I mean, you could say that about almost anyone, that's why I usually left Detective for last.

Williams art is totally what took me off, the book. You could not conceivably followed or made sense of the story with his art. It's beautiful, but just confusing as ****.

Good for you, but I couldn't. You had these panels with a splintered glass effect and everyone talking every which way and art overlapping and it made absolutely no sense to me of what was going on.
