1,2 Freddy's coming for you: Welcome to the elm street thread

I hope they make the glove look cool,at least. I like the long fingers on the glove from parts 1 and 2,but with the long, curved blades from FvJ. Also,I'd like a return to his sweater from the original, with no stripes on the arms. I've always liked that version better. I have no idea why it was changed for part 2. I don't want Krueger to look "clean" either. That's one of the many reason I like the first few films. His sweater was very dirty and his hat was ripped in places. Look at parts 4-6. Did any noticed that his sweater and hat looked like had just come from the washer/dryer? They look brand new!

I know, and thats what 4-6 are the worst of the series, and 2.

I thought 2 was also pretty bad. I actually liked 2 over 3.

I never once heard that from a Elm St watcher, but you have the right for your opinion. I will like to hear why you like it better though.

I say 1 & 3 are the only creepy, Freddy Stalker vibe to it. And its the last film to show the teens fighting for their lives.

eh, well for me the reason i love part 2 so damn much is because is funny to me. The part where his giant tongue comes out, the part where that kid tries to calm freddy down and says "let us help you" Freddy Responds "Help yourself f****er" The way he kills Brady was also pretty cool.

Part 3? eh, i just didnt care for it as much. The nerdy kids from the asylum. That black dude was an *******. I didnt really care whether he lived or died. Couple of things i did like though were the veins being cut and falling to his death, the way the giant head was eating Kirsten, the way he sucked up that other blonde into the TV "Welcome to prime time B**tch", Also i didnt even remember Nancy's dad coming back only to be killed by a Skeleton freddy, The way Nancy died at the end was pretty awesome as well.

i have partial love for nightmares 3 and 4. cuz those r the ones i watched the most when i was lil. they were t he first two Nightmare movies i ever had the chance of seeing. so i have a lil bit of nostalgia for 'em. and 5 is interesting after I watched the special features on the Nightmare Encyclopedia of the box set. gave me a whole new look at the movies.

I loved Nightmare 1-4. I thought 5 and 6 were just god awful. The death scenes were absolutely stupid beyond belief. The worst one has to be the motorcycle one in part 5.

I have seen all of the nightmare films over the years growing up. I dont really remember most of them since its been years since i seen them. I always loved all the kills freddy did in all the films. He had some great kills over the course of all the films. I used to be scared of freddy as a young kid but now as an adult i am not. Hopefully the remake will have some great kills.

i will agree that the Motorcycle one in 5 was bad. i kinda liked the cheesyness from the comic-book death in 5.

Favorite elm street movie is number 3 But I love all elm movies expect for 2 and 6.

i was scared as a little kid that i couldnt sleep.
i mean the concept is incredible if you are a littel boy. in the movie a guy is going to kill you when you sleep. in your dreams. of course kids wouldnt want to sleep .
briliant.
the only thing that will IMO be better in this movie is the make up. the make up in the last 10 years became so good that a new freddy will look awsome.

Anybody want this film to be 14A like part 4 & 5 because I heard somewhere is a going to be a high budget film and usealy high budget films here in Canada get 14A ratings.

I didn't like part 2, 5 and 6.

Part 1 is a masterpiece. Part 3 and 7 are great aswell, while part 4 is simply fun.

The best NOES film is the first one by far, and I really hope the remake takes more from that movie because it was actually scary. I like Freddy, and I like the other NOES movies too, but they became a joke as the series went on.

The worst one ever is #2 for me. Even worse than #5. But Dream Warriors rules!

One of the most creepiest parts is when shes leaves her class room. Sees her friend being dragged in a bloody bad down the hall way in her school. Now that was some freaky ****.

Dude, that entire sequence still freaks me out. When Nancy sees Tina in the body bag and Tina presses her hand against the bag that was friggin scary stuff!

yeah that and when she's being dragged across the ceiling but her boyfriend cant see freddy. Woah.

Great movie. They took it seriously and it was genuinely scary.

Fast forward 10 years later and Freddy is turning people into giant bugs and morphing himself into a motorcycle. Nice.

This movie has the best potential to be a good revived franchise. What does it have that Halloween and Jason do not have? How about a villian that has a personality! Freddy is one of the best slasher villians and I do have high hopes for this although Freddy vs. Jason was stupid as hell and the sequels got progressively bad. Although I have high hopes for this movie, I have 0 expectations.
