They wanted an expierenced QB who has played for awhile. That's why you see Kurt Warner, Drew Bledsoe and Testeverde get jobs rather than these younger players who have only played 2 or 3 years.

If by, "wasn't that bad", you mean he couldn't see the plays downfield because he was higher than Pookie from New Jack City, then sure. He wasn't that bad.

Many in Indy wondered how Jim Sorgi beat King in getting the back-up QB for the Colts! Last years pre-season was great for King. Sorgi was horrible.
