it still sucks.....damn Limeys wont appreciate it anyway....They seem to be the type that woulld go to the game just to boo and whistle american football

It sucked since it was announced. It'll suck infinitely worse if they send the Super Bowl over there.

The crowd does seem fairly lively though (at least now). Plus, seeing the fans wearing jerseys of teams that aren't playing is trippy.

I just don't see them ever sending the super bowl to another country....call me crazy....but I just don't see it.

I think Goodell said that to get more American cities to vie for the super bowl. I'd like to see the super bowl in a cold weather city...like soldier field or lambeau

Do you really want a modern incarnation of the Ice Bowl?

yes I do.....what real football fan woulldnt??? The biggest game of the year played in the Tundra of Lambeau Field....it would be awesome...

It would definitely be retro...lol

Some of my best memories with family watching SMU games, the Cotton Bowl, Texas/OU games was us freezing our asses off......great memories. Hot Chocolate, blankets everywhere, I miss those days...

Super Bowl overseas is dumb; but i kind of like the idea of over seas games. Yuod think theyd give them exciting teams though; the (HUGE) crowd is defiently into it.

They sent two teams from cities that have some international recognition. Probably the best way to go at first.

I wouldn't want a marquee game over there though. There's a big adjustment to altering your regular routine and getting acclimated to playing that big of a 'road' game. It's not fair to either team as it is, but it'd be even worse if the matchup affected playoff implications or positioning. They should try to guard against that as much as possible.

I wouldn't mind it. The whole game of football is meant to be played whether rain, sleet or snow. Why ignore that on the biggest game? Because some teams play in domes? **** them, not the NFL's problem some teams are afraid to play in the conditions.

And I think its about time Griese's helmet communications "malfunctions" again. Ron Turner is just not getting the job done.

I rather see the biggest game of the year played in as best conditions as possible, with both teams being not being hindered by anything but the opposition. If it happens to rain in Miami or be windy in Phoenix or whatever, then so be it, but intentionally introducing the elements into the game doesn't make much sense to me. I want to see who's best straight up; not who did the best in adapting to ****ty conditions. For the regular season and playoff games leading up to it, that's fine; that's just home field advantage. The Super Bowl should be different.

Why? Its not different in playoff games, so if its in a place like Chicago, Green Bay or New England or any other cold city team, its going to be the best team that adapts to the conditions and thats not always the home team. Hey, if you can't get up for the Superbowl and adapt, you don't deserve to win.

well that patriots are known to adapt but i remember one game last year they were hindered by a slippery field and tom brady slipped three times

The point is its part of the game and its taken out of the final game. Its just another example of the continuing *****fication of the NFL.

Looks like the Bears will have to make another 4th quarter comeback where they will only open up the offense in the final minute. Griese should just start calling his own plays like he had too in the last game where he made the game winning drive.

I'm watching it now on sky sports. It sucks! there is like 2 minutes of sport and 5 minutes of commentary afterwards. What's with all the armour as well? I want some blood dammit! And see that pitch- they better not be messing up the football pitch:cmad:
One game here won't matter anyway. Unless there is a significant successful team from england or successful british players it will never catch on

Too bad the Brits couldn't get a better game. What a suck fest.

Carolina blew a 7-0 lead and is now losing 31-7 by the Colts.:csad: and I should have started King (TE for Panthers) very good game, even though he has a fumble lost.

A 7 point lead, and that was in the first quarter, is hardly anything against a team like the Colts.
