like I said last night...Pats = Ratings regardless of their opponents....New England is part of the NY TV market....NBC wants people to watch....no one is going to watch Detroit v. Jacksonville

Just why two weeks in a row is beyond me... Buff is not exactly the greatest market. Seattle Chicago should have been the game they picked. Chicago is a decent market... and no way in hell Fox protected that. If NBC had any forsight they would have picked Pats/Jets... that was THE story from day one in the season with the whole Spygate... and who was responsible for all of it... Mangini... NBC could have easily opted out of that if the Pats fell to Pitt... but I am really looking forward to that matchup... its probably on my top five games remaining. Say yeah but it would have been 76 -10 instead of 56-10... but I will disagree... Jets could keep that competitive like they did againt Pitt.

What the **** are you saying then? Because I can never tell. The Colts aren't better than the Patriots, I'm sorry but there is no more arguing that.
Why not?

Peyton had only 4 bullets......

Brady had all 6 of his......

Even James Brown on CBS said that he wished the teams had faced at full strentgh. But even with that we had them down 2 scores. If Gonzales was harrison, no dropped TD and 3 scores down. A whole different thing.

We will see in Foxboro come January. :yay:

I think the point is that yes some teams have always sucked, but it doesnt mean they cant beat a powerhouse....Look at the Golden State Warriors last year...or look at the Steelers Super Bowl season 2 years ago...no one had picked the Steelers to go to the SB....

That's all I'm saying. :yay:

If someone had told you, at the beginning of the 2001 NFL season, that the New England Patriots would be going to the Super Bowl with, at the time, a no name quarterback, replacing regular starter Drew Bledsoe....you would have called them ******ed

Bingo!

But it happened.....

Especially saying that the QB was from U-M :o

And especially saying that they would beat the Rams :csad:

Agreed man. Drew was a GOD around here.

I thought at the time that, yea this Brady kid is good, but they won't beat The Greatest Show on Turf.....

Fran I'm sorry....that must have been extremely painful...your team beaten by a Wolverine

We can play the scenario game all day long if you to start with all the "what if" bull****. What you are doing with the Colts, the same thing could be done with the Patriots in that game. They played about a quarter and a half of the way they usually play and came out with the win. The bottom line is Peyton has trouble winning without his star players. Whatever it is, he just doesn't seem to be able to make players around him better. He has trouble when everything isn't perfect.

I think the Pats vs Rams & Rams vs Titans were two of the most entertaining Super Bowls.

That he was....the Pats fans in CT loved him during his years there, they were so happy to finally have a decent QB...especially their games against Marino and the Dolphins

It hurt on many more than one level.

No doubt. They were one pass away from beating Pittsburgh man. That game was awesome. :csad:

They show that on NFL Films sometimes!

Greg Lloyd was awesome!

Jimmy was so gutsy in that game!! Indy still loves the guy.

That is my point as well. I want Manning to step it up and stop sulking on the sidelines.

I watched Rams v Titans with my Dad and as football fans we were both ecstatic with watching a competitve Super Bowl for the first time in years...

I think those two Superbowls made things exciting again. I was routing for the Rams over the Titans, I loved it.

One could probably say the same thing for the Patriots in the AFC championship last year. Dropped passes in the endzone probably hurt them from winning. Things could have turned out different as well. There will always be "What ifs". What if this guy played, What if he didn't miss that field goal, What if he hadn't dropped this pass, What if the ref hadn't made that bad call. No one ever knows what the outcome could have been despite the better chances of having one player or another. Interceptions and fumbles can change the game in a heartbeat. We have seen it time and time again.

heymemphis slim remember when the steelers beat the colts in the playoffs 2 years ago? and the only reason the colts were still in the game was because of the officiating? and when joey porter kicked manning's ass?
