We don't know if it was a distraction for him personally...

And we don't know that it wasn't, do we?

18/36 for 201 yds 1 TD 1 INT and 2 sacks against a defense he shredded twice and who came into the game with a makeshift secondary?

you are going to convince me that this was a distraction for the team's preparation?

I don't have to convince you of anything. That's not what I'm here to do. But.....

*looks at the final score*

But don't pretend you know for certain that his preparation was hurt b/c he took a weekend off.

And don't pretend his preparation couldn't have been bettered by NOT running off to Mexico the week before a playoff game.

So why the hell do we have to ASSUME in the first place... its all speculation and perception... why can't people see it for what it is? Penalties on the defense... an O-line that had its worst game of the year... a running game that never got going in the second half... aren't these the things we should be talking about? More so than the above... I would like to think so.

I love that play, a trick play on a trick play.

That stuff goes without saying. I'm not blaming Romo solely for this loss. That'd be foolish. The point of the current discussion is whether or not it was a good decision for the Boy Wonder to go on vacation with his high profile girlfriend the week before a playoff game. If you want to talk about how badly the offensive line played, then by all means. Go for it.

Are people actually blamed the Cowboys loss on Jessica Simpson again?!?! Wasn't this Tony Romo's second year as QB for the Cowboys? Couldn't it also be inexperience in the playoffs that helped contribute to his loss? I'm sure many other people on the Cowboys and other teams have either girlfriends or wives that they spend time with during days and weekends off. I guess if your girlfriend is a celebrity that makes you lose games though

Whatever, not worth the time... I'll get over this one... so long as the Giants get knocked out somewhere down the line here... I'm trying to keep things in perspective... it took the Bears forever to win a playoff game... I mean they lost twice as a number two seed before they made a decent run... you look at the Eagles with the three straight Championship losses... the Seahawks who couldn't win a playoff game for the life of them those first few years under Holmgren and Hasselback... that's just recent history... the list goes on and on... none of those teams I mentioned went on to win a Superbowl as of yet... but NE and Indy can't stay this good forever. The Superbowls will come back to the NFC eventually.

The Brady throw was stupid, i dont think that faked anyone out in the entire world.

He faked out the one guy that mattered, the guy that was covering Wes Welker. Watch the replay. As for Romo and the whole vacation thing: Do I think it affected him in the game? No I don't think so. But it was foolish to do in that he put himself and teammates in position to be asked about it all week and it gives the media a feeding frenzy. I don't really understand the way the Cowboys played the game. They went for a grind it out offense at times. It took 10 minutes to score one touchdown only to give it back and have the Giants score in under a minute before the half.

- This will be the first AFC Championship since 2002 not to feature the Steelers or the Colts.

- This will be the first NFC Championship since re-alignment not to feature an NFC South team.

I never thought about those.

2003-04 - Colts
2004-05 - Steelers
2005-06 - Steelers
2006-07 - Colts

2002-03 - Bucs
2003-04 - Panthers
2004-05 - Falcons
2005-06 - Panthers
2006-07 - Saints

I love how some Patriots fans think they have an automatic bid to the Super Bowl. This is why people hate New England so much. Most of you fans are so arrogant. I hope San Deigo crushes them.

Why the hell would that matter? All that matters is that 6 points are on the board. He can do a tap dance for all I care as long as points are scored.

well....I'm, not 100% confident they'll win....you know...I mean. look at the Chargers/Indy game.

just 95% sure :csad::up:

Don't groups us all together.

It's the same way with Green Bay though as well. People are acting like that game is already over as well. I'm not sure what I'd like to see more, a Super Bowl loss for Favre, or them being beaten at home by the Giants. Tough call.

So did some of the right side of the Jaguars defense. I thought it was a pretty damn good play call. Entertaining if anything.

It was an amazing play. That was the play that happened right before I went to the bar with my friends. I got in the car and asked them if they heard the play on the radio. They said "Yeah, even the announcer thought that Maroney had the ball".

Don't groups us all together.

I fixed it. :o

it was great. brought some excitment to the play.

I thought it was pretty innovative, I've never seen it before.

I hope they have something else lined up for this week.

My friend is a Cowboys fan. All he could talk about this season was the Cowboys making it to the Super Bowl. It just makes me hate Dallas even more. I'm glad they lost yesterday.

I hope they have something else lined up for this week.

The trick play they did against Pittsburgh was awsome as well.

Wade has gotta shut up.

"After looking at the replay, I see that the better team clearly lost."
