Cool to see Miroslav Satan finally get to hoist the Cup, after all his years.
All I can say is, it's a GREAT year to be a Pittsburgh fan.
Now maybe the Pirates will... ugh, nevermind.
Agreed, Venom. Living in Pittsburgh has been great this year, but Mario lifting the Cup was the highest point for me.The Cup is back in the Burgh!!!!t:
As awesome as it was to see Sid and the team lift the cup,I was extra happy for Mario. After all he did for the team and the city,he deserved this.

I'm interested in what Hossa does next year. Does anyone know whether Detroit is interested in resigning him or if it looks like he's on the move again. Atlanta really seems to want him back...
EDIT: I'm assuming he'll be looking for a long-term contract after the situation last year.
No snub of Lidstrom, Pens officials say

By Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Penguins officials have defended Sidney Crosby, the team's captain, against a charge that he snubbed his Detroit counterpart, Nicklas Lidstrom, in the handshake line after the team won the Stanley Cup at Joe Louis Arena last night.
Red Wings center Kris Draper told the Associated Press that "Nick was waiting and waiting, and Crosby didn't come over to shake his hand" in the traditional handshake line. He added that, "that's ridiculous, especially as their captain, and make sure you write that I said that."
When Tom McMillan, the Penguins' vice president of communications, was informed of Draper's accusation, he said:
"There's nobody who respects the traditions of hockey more than Sidney Crosby. It was a young team celebrating its first Cup and some of the guys might have been a little late getting into the handshake line."
Crosby was photographed going through the handshake line and it is not known how long Lidstrom waited before adjourning to the locker room.
Members of losing teams generally vacate the ice pretty quickly.

I'm sure this wasn't really intentional, as Sid did go through the line with the rest of his team, but I'd like to hear him address this in the coming interviews.
