UK must win this season. Simply, they have the best team and if they fail to win stories about Calipari being a great recruiter and an average coach will slowly come to the surface and start to gnaw the program. Calipari has got a lot of heat on his career as is. He desperately needs to avoid another meltdown as the one he had with Memphis vs Kansas.

I absolutely despise the myth of Calipari not being a good coach. Not everyone could coach a team mostly comprised of star freshman to a 34-2 record. It takes someone with a strong will and attitude to do what he's done.

Everything you said is correct. However there is a perception out there, a perception additionally heated by the media. There are also a lot of people who dislike Cal and would jump on every opportunity to launch an attack. Especially since UK is definitely the most talented team this year.

Its all stupid though, but it is what it is. How long did Dean Smith, Jim Bohiem, etc go before winning a championship. Took Roy Williams awhile to and he has ALWAYS been at a powerhouse school.

There is a lot of luck involved in it. You have to be good AND get lucky.

But that is the perception, you are right, false or not.

I could care less about the haters though. Its what it means to be on top of the mountain.

What exactly is your evidence for these personal accusations against Calipari, other than "thats what people say"? Put up or shut up. Lets hear some actual "evidence". None of it had anything to do with him other than the fact that he was the coach at the time. Kids do stupid s**t sometimes.

Your just repeating what you've been told because your a hater. Calipari has never done anything against the rules and the NCAA agrees with me. My guess is you know absolutely nothing about either of the situations in which wins were vacated. This whole thing is just the media blowing smoke in the room and then crying "fire"!
