Goofball Bynum strikes again and gets himself tossed. Unbelievable...

One would think that a person can become a mature, responsible adult after spending 7 years in the NBA. I really can't see Bynum as the future of the Lakers franchise unless he starts acting like a grown-up.

Agreed. I wouldn't pull the trigger on that.

Well, if Orlando has two choices, either lose Howard for nothing or get Bynum in a trade, you're telling me that they would rather have nothing?

I think Orlando and LA trade is a fore gone conclusion. No way either of those guys stay in their places. And you don't give up to much to get the other. Bynum would be a lot happier in Orlando while Howard would be miserable in LA playing besides Kobe who hasn't seen a shot he doesn't like. :o

Am I saying that Bynum is less valuable than nothing?

No.

But I think they could get more than just Bynum. If that's all the Lakers are offering one for one, then frankly it's insulting and typical of their attitude of undercutting the value of the players they look to trade for.

Lakers will not give up more than Bynum, because their only tradeable assets are Bynum and Gasol and there's no way they will trade away both of them. If Orlando really think they can get two All-Stars for Howard, then they can keep him and let him walk away for nothing, like what Shaq did to them over a decade ago.

Yeah, no way they repeat that same damn mistake. He's ridiculously talented with plenty of room to improve & he's actually healthy, his basketball IQ just hasn't caught up to his physical prowess.

Bynum will never be traded, unless he continues getting hurt. He's Buss' pet project.

If Jimmy weren't so wrapped up in doing things different than Jerry, he wouldn't be going around slapping Untouchable tags on pieces not named Kobe Bryant. In any case, Dwight seems to have a little drama queen in him & that shiz isn't going to play well with Kobe anyway, so maybe we'll be better off with Bynum.

Andrew has a temper. Dwight is emotional & quits.

Emotionally, I doubt Dwight could handle a place like LA or NY, which I think is part of the reason he stayed. He wants to be loved by everyone, and to be the leader people expect him to be, that has to change. This stuff he's going through now happens damn near every year in bigger markets, he'd be a wreck internally.

And on the court someone like Kobe would eat him alive the first time he's caught grinning or laughing. Kobe tolerates Bynum's antics because he respects his fire & anger, the same things that drove him while he was shooting airballs and dribbling off his foot in Utah circa '97. Dwight on the other hand has none of that in him whatsoever. The same underlying issues Kobe had with Shaq would multiply tenfold with Howard.

Most Knicks fans prefer a player like Tyson Chandler over Dwight Howard. Reminds them of the 90's guys like Oakley and Starks, tough and gritty.

Kobe was jealous of Shaq because he was the man on the Lakers at that time. Howard will not be the man because Kobe has proven himself to be the man on the Lakers so he will tolerate Howard.

That's only half right, Kobe had issues with Shaq's work ethic more than anything. Kobe felt that Shaq didn't deserve to be the man because instead of busting his ass to get better he was off doing movies & albums, getting fat and not playing hard all the time.

Meanwhile Kobe would be the first at the gym, sometimes practicing without a ball even, to Shaq's amazement apparently. He wasn't hanging out with the guys and in turn became alienated, and because of the simmering tension, Shaq used it as an excuse to embarrass and berate him. It had nothing to do with anything else, and judging Howard's offensive progression, or lackthereof, its clear he's no gym rat concerned with getting better.

Well Bynum's attitude is not any better, he keeps getting ejected from games and acts like he does not care either.

Right, but like I said before, alot if that comes from the chip on Bynum's shoulder, probably put there, ironically, by Kobe. There's an edge he plays with that Kobe endorses because he himself has that. It's that drive to prove...something, anything, to anyone who questions them. The difference with Dwight is that he just isn't that type of guy, he's a nice guy, who wants everyone's approval. I just don't think he has the mentality for a bigger market.

Let me be clear though, there's an immaturity to Bynum that's unacceptable, and its becoming problematic. If he ever learns to harness that edge, then maybe he could be the future. As of now, I'm not convinced.

Anyone see CConn? If you do tell him I got a message for him. :o

76ers are falling and Knicks are rising........call me Docstradomas. :)

They are falling faster than a............a....................76er.

Lakers lose and clippers win! Only a half gamer back now

Doesn't matter.

Either team is gonna get their asses kicked by the Bulls in the first round. :o

No Kobe, so Bynum finally got to hoist a bunch of shots like everyone's been crying for. And he was horrible.

Said it before and I'ma say it again, when Bynum does get that extra defensive attention and double teams get thrown at him, he falls apart. Part of the reason he's been getting tossed is out of frustration when struggling against that.

Bulls maybe.................but the Heat? I can see us taking them 6 games.

I hope this loss teaches Bynum on why he can't be Lakers' #1 option, because it's clear that he can't deal with all the pressure.

Sixers will get swept by Chicago or Miami in the first round. We just do not have a scorer and big man to get these close wins.

Poeman, you still disagree with me about Melo? Im telling you the man has been back ever since Amare went down. He's the 2nd best pure scorer in the league IMO (and clutch), with an arsenal of moves, in the post & out, and thrives doing his own thing. Not trying to feed anyone else and certainly not trying to acquiesce to Lin.
