I've liked Avila's other moves but not really a fan here. I'd much rather have brought Cespedes back. Tigers dont really need another righty who K's a lot.

No charges being filed against Chapman. Based off what I've read today I really can't see MLB suspending this guy 40 games. Maybe the first 7 and a large fine but that's it.

Cespedes and the Mets come to a 3 yr deal with a player opt out after this season. Good sign by the Mets.

Nothing says "I'm committed to the team" like testing the free agent market and then when no one overpays, coming back on effectively a 1 year deal so you can do it all again next year!
