Free speech!
...Until you say something I don't like!
Free speech is hard. It's the right to say things people don't like. If it was easy, we wouldn't need to pass a law allowing it, would we? Anyone can allow free speech to people who agree with them....every dictator in history allowed that one.
But...same old story. People doing it in this thread. Right and Left...all the same.
The same people defending Colin's right to free speech are insisting everyone criticizing him should shut the hell up. All the passion for "free speech" evaporates the instant they don't agree with the speaker. How surprising. Colin has the right to his view, but no one is allowed to counter it.
Also great pains to point out that he has the right to his personal feelings about a flag. How much you want to bet those same people don't allow people from the South to have their own personal feelings about a confederate flag? Nope...in that case...the individual opinion of a flag doesn't count....others are in charge of defining what a flag means to everyone. (Apparently, the KKK somehow was put in charge of telling everyone what a flag means?...what else do they decide for us?)
I don't mind Colin's feelings about the flag. The people who fought and died for it did that for the right to express that type of feeling. We can ignore the flag or call the President a jerk if we want. It would be disrespectful to soldiers to claim everyone is required to salute the flag.
The only problem I really have is his hate speech against cops. That stuff has resulted in cops being shot and killed for real. Not to mention it continues to distract from the real problems in the black community that don't garner as many votes for politicians.

He might even believe that's what he is doing.Making anti police brutality statements, that is. How dare he!
