Free speech!

...Until you say something I don't like!

Free speech is hard. It's the right to say things people don't like. If it was easy, we wouldn't need to pass a law allowing it, would we? Anyone can allow free speech to people who agree with them....every dictator in history allowed that one.

But...same old story. People doing it in this thread. Right and Left...all the same.

The same people defending Colin's right to free speech are insisting everyone criticizing him should shut the hell up. All the passion for "free speech" evaporates the instant they don't agree with the speaker. How surprising. Colin has the right to his view, but no one is allowed to counter it.

Also great pains to point out that he has the right to his personal feelings about a flag. How much you want to bet those same people don't allow people from the South to have their own personal feelings about a confederate flag? Nope...in that case...the individual opinion of a flag doesn't count....others are in charge of defining what a flag means to everyone. (Apparently, the KKK somehow was put in charge of telling everyone what a flag means?...what else do they decide for us?)

I don't mind Colin's feelings about the flag. The people who fought and died for it did that for the right to express that type of feeling. We can ignore the flag or call the President a jerk if we want. It would be disrespectful to soldiers to claim everyone is required to salute the flag.

The only problem I really have is his hate speech against cops. That stuff has resulted in cops being shot and killed for real. Not to mention it continues to distract from the real problems in the black community that don't garner as many votes for politicians.
Making anti police brutality statements, that is. How dare he!
He might even believe that's what he is doing.

This Bridgewater situation sounds horrific.

This Bridgewater situation sounds horrific.

It is, I mean how bad to a non contact injury have to be to get players and coaches throwing up

.

It's official. Bridgewater out for the entire season with dislocated knee and torn ACL.

That sucks. The Vikings are an up and coming team with a fantastic coach. I feel bad for Viking fans. To lose in the playoffs on a missed FG and now this?

When they say "dislocated knee," do they mean the cap or the joint? If it's the knee joint, that's potentially career-ending.

Reports say it was bad enough that other players were vomiting on the field.

Reporters had to backtrack and let people know that they were being a little silly with the vomiting thing. They were just saying that it was bad.

Shame about Bridgewater. The injury sounds ****ing awful. How the hell did that happen?

Also, saw that Ladarius Green has been place on the PUP list. So that's yet another offensive weapon that the Steelers won't start the season with. No worries though... as long as Antonio Brown averages about 270 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns per game, they should be fine.

Sounds like it was just ligament damage to Bridgewater, if it had been any nerve damage or artery then it would possibly have been career threatening (which is what happened to Marcus Lattimore which forced him to early retirement and most recently Jaylon Smith who is still recovering)

So I guess if you're an NFL quarterback whose name ends in "berger" and you've been accused or convicted of some form of sexual assault, the Steelers just can't pass you up.

I'm still thankful that Eli snubbed the Chargers for the Giants and they didn't wind up picking Roethlisberger.

I thought about going to the Falcons preseason game tonight, so I could do some Jaguaring. But I couldn't make it.

So have we started doing predictions yet?

Reports are Vikings are looking to snag Bradford from Eagles. Maybe for a 1st round pick.
