Luck is injured now? I hadn't even heard about that. Well, at least if he can't go, the Colts actually have a reliable backup (Wow! Do those still exist?!) in Matt Hasselbeck.

I know I don't post here often, but when I have I've made mention that I'm a die hard Panther fan and feel like talking a bit.

Being at the game Sunday, it was clear our pass rush HAS to get better. The defense is predicated on that. I'm cautiously optimistic about the Jared Allen trade. I remember the Reggie White fiasco, but Allen has more in the tank and when CJ gets back we will have a solid rotation. I've always loved Allen, wanted to straight up trade Peppers for him when Allen wanted out of Kansas City. Anyway, until then I'd keep playing Kony Ealy the majority of the snaps. Trial by combat method. Some fans rip him up, some acknowledge the potential. He came on strong at the end of last season and it takes DE's a few seasons. Hardy didn't explode until the end of his 3rd year though I attribute that to Fox not playing him much in 2010. Lets see what he has, because Addison is just a situational guy at best and Horton is simply a guy. I fully expect a DE in the first two rounds of the draft next year.

Offensively, critics want to point out our WR's as the issue. Is it, sure. But you know what, Brown and Ginn have performed admirably and with Olsen double and triple teamed those two will burn your ***. Plus, I have faith Funchess will come on as the season progresses. He is a rookie and missed a lot of camp and preseason action. The real problem is the running game. Except for Cam making plays, it is stagnant. The pass blocking has been better than the run blocking. And J-Stew just looks sluggish. But I'll say that aside from 2008 he has always been a slow starter. It's almost like his injuries helped him out as the season progressed. They didn't rob him of his talent like they did DeShaun Foster and he would always be fresh come week 8-10 and run over tired defensive players. The sick side of me wants him to have to sit out a few of the games coming up. I want to see Cameron Artis-Payne who looked like a young D-Will in the preseason. And not to be THAT guy that talks up undrafted free agents, but I truly think Brandon Wegher is the real deal. He was a beast as a freshman at Iowaand looked a man amongst boys when playing back ups in the preseason. A great burst, great acceleration, can catch as well as run, and strong as an ox. I just want to see what he has.

As far as Atlanta goes, to hell with them. They are still soft on the offensive and defensive lines and I think we can out grit them and at the very least split games.

My Miami Dolphins have sucked for the last 10 years and there is apparently no hope in sight. Stephen Ross is one of the worst owners in all of sports.

Yeah Dolphins need a new owner and start the actual rebuilding at that point.

The Jets aren't anything great but I would be disappointed if they lost to the Dolphins this weekend. The Dolphins completely rolled over to the Bills last week.

The Dolphins have quit on their coach, they aren't winning anything any time soon.

I'm really torn on who to pick tonight. The Steelers have more talent and Vick is capable at QB but I just can't see the Ravens starting 0-4 with their team.

:hehe:

LOL yeah, honestly, all of the NFC South teams have problems but I think the Falcons probably have the least right now. Still though, it wouldn't surprise me to see them fall apart again.

On a related note, my Steelers should probably rest their starters until Ben gets back. They aren't winning jack sh** with Vick under center.

They've look good on offense but defense still gives up a lot of yards and points. Atlanta depends on their offense to win games. If our boys on defense are able to stop Jones again (Norman has been on a tear) then Matt Ryan is gonna poo himself again.

Good luck with Vick. That man is punch drunk. Unless your defense steps up, I'm going have to agree with you.

Bring it on, you mangy hairball barfer.

Screw you and your flying disease bags :argh:

I think he means that even a washed up Megatron would be better than the current WRs the Panthers have now.

Yep. Hell, I'd take a retired Randy Moss at this point and he'll still be more effective than Corey Brown.

Looks like Cam Newton is finally going to get a break from here on out with calls. Or...the refs are pissed and will let more things happen to him. The wrath of Ed Houchuli.

:o

I'm not use to people taking Cam's side or even praising him. Hell has actually frozen over... until The Panthers lose again anyway. First Take and ESPN have done a complete 180 on Cam. MVP talk and congratulating him for standing up to Ed Houchuli... on the same day?

God I hate Harbawl's stupid face.

Why does Tomlin decide NOW to play aggressively?! They have Justin F***er as a kicker for f***s sake.

Tomlin, my dude. If Pittsburgh loses, you don't even get to blame Scobee anymore.

This is such an awful game.

Somebody end it.

This game has been awful and hilarious at the same time. Whoever loses this, it will be a back breaker. A tie would be so funny.

...Matt, when you see this post, release the kraken.

What the hell has been happening at the QB position this year? Brees, Romo, Roethlisberger, Cutler and now maybe Luck?

So what's going to happen in week four at the position?

:lmao:

Steelers might beat the Chargers, but they are going to lose to the Cardinals, Chiefs and Bengals. The Raiders will be a toss up. They will be praying for 4-5 before the Browns game.

So many WTF calls this game.

I'd wager Ben is back for the Bengals.
