5.21 Oracle-Discussion Thread(Spoilers)

The only thing I didn't like was that Clark mysteriously forgot how to read Kryptonian. How'd that happen?

Ya know I forgot about that because at the end he read Zod is coming. (not that based on the way the symbols look you couldn pick out ZOD) But why couldnt he read the rest?

Oracle really was a great episode.

(1) Brainiac disguised as Jonathan to trick Clark into killing Lionel {Who is The Vessel for Jor-EL . }

(2) Lois & Clark scenes

(3) Forshadowing of Lois & Clark's Future

(4) Brainiac playing Lex for a fool from the beginining.

(5) Jor-EL in Lionel Destorying one of Brainiac's duplicate to save Clark/Kal-EL

(6) Zod mentioned

(7) Clark & Lex friendship official over,

\8/ badass trailer for "Vessel

I took it that the pattern that Jor-El put it into probably looked like jibberish to Clark, he just couldn't make it out.

Once the pattern was deciphered he could read the actual message. Just like a decoded english message looks like jibberish until you crack the code behind it.

the only thing that bothers me (not about the episode, Oracle was great) is that you just know that Lex and Clark are going to have an all out brawl... then, next season, Lex'll get amnesia... again.

that's the way i took it, too.

I didnt think it was a shot at Lana either, merely Lois giving clark encouragement that "someone better could come along".

That's the way I took it too...

*shrug*

I don't know if a dramatically lit man sitting in a chair automatically means Alex Ross ;)

I did like this episode. It almost thrilled me to see Clark, Chloe and Lionel talking about things of the Kryptonian sort...one of those moments where you see that, yes indeed, things DO change on this show.

Mwahahaha, that's what I was thinking during that scene also. I hope they keep Lionel going this direction, it feels much more fluid and genuine than last season's good Lionel.

He is becoming a great intriguing character again and I love it. It was a strange scooby moment. :D

"This whole time we thought it was Lionel, but after removing the mask, we found out it was the old Jor-El from the old amusement park!"

"And I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"

Last night's episode was awesome. I thought Clark was going to fry Luthor when Luthor said: "You lost her by yourself." What's up with Lex healing himself????

I swear, if I had Clark's powers & Luthor threatened me after I tried to save his life I would have beat the crap out of him.

Also what's with Lana being such a snitch... Clark was trying to save Lex's life.

Everything to her is just about their relationship, how many times has Clark bailed those two out.

LMAO! Good one, B8. :D

I thought my daughter was going to have a stroke during that scene. She was like Crazy Dead Jonathan screaming at Clark to kill Lex.

I don't know where she gets that from. ;)

What's up with Lex healing himself????

He's been a good healer since the first meteor shower, but now that he's been injected with that SuperVaccine, he <apparently> heals instantly, and according to the trailer for next week's episode - he's getting all the other powers that Clark has. Uh..I think.

I took it as he could read the symbols but they were all jumbled and nonsensical until you found an established pattern, sort of like a word jumble, like in English it would be

ODCMGIIZNS

ZOD IS COMING

Cant really argue with that :(

It's also one of the reasons I'm hoping Zod stands on his own rather than inhabiting Lex's body.

I guess they did set you up in previous episodes for Anagrams to appear, with Lionel and the "Failed Takeover" to rescue Martha. Just wasnt readily apparent to me as a possibility.

Yeah I noticed that.

I doubt it I just think that he'll take over Lex's body and then we have a huge fight only for Lex to forget. Also if Lex is using Kryptonight why has he yet tried that on Clark if he so much thinks he is one of them.

I know I haven’t seen Oracle, but from the trailer for Vessel it doesn’t look anything like the episode description.
